We haven't (to my knowledge) been linked with him so far during this window, but as we've been linked to him in just about every transfer window since he left 6-7 years ago then I thought I'd speculate on him moving.

I read in the mail that Portsmouth are not playing him because if he plays one more game it activates a clause which means he'll get a contract extension on PL wages!

He's offered to take a pay cut but it doesn't seem to be enough for Pompey.

So...Should we go for for him? Personally I don't think we should

I think you should look forwards not backwards then your never in a position of dreaming/wishing what may have been or what will be; your trying to make things happen instead.

If his salary expectations are realistic then - yes

If his salary expectations are still high then - no

This is the Michael Brown on £25,000 per week with a clause in his contract that any game above 20 per season sees basic salary rise to £35,000 per week (hence him not playing). Don't think we can afford him at all!

In the Sun today he will definitely be leaving Pompey, if he plays another game his clause kicks in and he wont take a pay-cut.......

I cannot see another club offering him 25k a week. He's not a premiership level player any more, and he'll only get worse.
