Morning chaps

Just to let you know that there's a planned meeting this week with John Garrett with his SLO hat on this week and Foxy and I shall be in attendance.

If there are any points, questions, feedback or ideas you'd like raised on any off-pitch matters, leave us a message in this thread or drop us a PM by close-of-play on Wednesday.

Could you please ask McCabe why he hasn't solved the following problems:

1. The Crisis of the Euro
2. The Middle East Peace Process
3. The meaning of life.

As he is responsible for all the ills of the world, I demand answers to all of these questions

I spoke to John's predecessor a couple of years ago about the excessive time that it takes to exit the Family stand for those of us who sit up at the back (I'm on row DD). He agreed that traffic flow would double by removing just 2 seats directly about the exits but nothing has been done about it. It's mostly just an annoyance issue but I dread to think what would happen if we had a fire?

Noted... will enquire.

Will the potholes and puddles at the Cherry St end of the Kop be sorted?

Are the plans for revamping the Kop likely to be implemented in the near future?

Why are they still having issues with regards to food being ready before the match?

Why do they have the intros of old players and stuff like the unveiling of Jessica Ennis's name on the Bramall Lane stand before the match when people are still outside the ground?

Are they considering a vintage style shirt for the 125th season, like Southampton did? Will they ever consider a decent shirt manufacturer that doesn't pay as well as the crap ones might, but delivers a better product like, for example, Adidas or Umbro?

Would the club consider funding or subsidising fan sites such as this one? Would that compromise this site too much if it's independence was not total?

Why do we need a supporter liaison officer? Can't we just buy our tickets and watch the football rather than getting bogged down in all the crap behind the scenes?

Erm yeah... I don't think that'd really work :D

Can you ask if Michael Palin is a Blade or a pig?

Also, who owns the freehold?

As we are cutting costs, why do we have the corner of the Bramall Lane Upper open? Why not close this and place fans in other parts of the round. The same goes for the Kop/John Street corner

Why is the whole of John Street a Family Stand ? Why not allow adults unaccompanied buy tickets in the east side of John Street. I think quite a few would prefer to sit there than in the cramped seats of the Kop and South Stand. The John Street looks barely half full most games

In we stay in division one(god forbid) why not close the away end and place away fans in H Block . there is a separate exit for them and turnstiles. Again, this is just about saving money

At night, why are many of the lights around the club still on? Does no one turn off the lights. I thought we had no meney?

Why are the bovrils. teas etc always luke warm.

The concourse at the bottom of the Kop/Cherry Street is often flooded at the slightest sign of rain, can this be rectified ?

Why do we have 3 new kits every season (the white one is rarely worn). In these days where fans are skint, cant we to kits in alternate years(new home hit one year, away the following one) then if a third kit is needed as a one off, auction the signed shirts off to raise money for charity

The club shop is extemely limited in stock and quality(especially for kids). Who makes the decision in what goes in there and what are the plans for the future. Whilst the height of fashion is not expected, decent quality clothes that don't go out of shape after being worn twice must be a given. Also, why does the word MACRON' have to be on the back of many of the items. Some of us oldies like the items where it is quite subtle e.g. just our logo on the front.

Online booking is good. For fans who collect tickets on the day, cant there use a machine to put the debit/credit card in that they have ordered the tickets with and the tickets drop out (e.g. like rail tickets). Any reason why supporters cant buy tickets by this method on the day by a similar method? you could have machines on each side of the ground. Too expensive ?

The state of the pitch. Has filling in the corner caused the problem or are there underlying isses that cant be resolved?

Can I have some Hendersons Relish on the crap the club will be spoon feeding us on this occasion

Ask him when we will be moving into the Don Valley Stadium ?
Or ask him the reasons why KM thinks people would be stupid enough to invest in a club which does not own it's stadium ?

Are there any plans to tweak the loyalty point scheme at all?

Not a massive issue but it's sometimes awkward getting tickets for me and my lad as anyone who has had a season ticket for a few years is way out in front of him even though, in many cases, he'll go to more away games than they will. I know the season ticket holders contribute more financially to the club so deserve the associated benefits.

Not a moan, just curious as to whether it's being looked at.

Also, being seen to be listened to is a nice way of doing what you want while pretending you care.

Is it not possible to have a ticket collection window somewhere on the City side of the ground, Kop corner of John St?

I understand they might not want the expense of the machine Bart mentioned (though they'd be bob on), but for fans approaching from the City side it would be nice not to have to walk all round the ground and back again

Based on a number of the replies that have been posted, Linz is probably regretting offering to help. We're all cynical about the club from time to time but why bother to comment if you don't believe that the intentions are genuine?

Can you please ask the stewards not to stand in the exits when their job is supposed to keep them clear?

Who is supposed to "police" the use of bad language? I can maybe forgive the odd slip up in the heat of the moment, but some are habitual and very loud in areas which have children. There is never anything done to prevent this.

The report and accounts mentioned a quest to "raise capital" and an expectation that the process surrounding Institutional investors would complete in Q2 2013. I know this is mainly about construction projects but they mentioned "sensible allocation of funds for Sheffield United" [their words not mine]

Q2 starts in 6 days time. Can John ask the Club ownership / management to provide a progress update for the supporters please.

By the way, we can take bad news, we're used to it.

Why? Do you have a friend who struggles on their pins a bit Raul?

Tut, Tut Mr ethical banker. Taking the Mick out of a fans forum or whatever it is. Poor form.

Great point ....couldn't they do the points on, say ,a rolling 3 or 4 years so therefore rewarding the fans that go to the most away games and have season tickets and also closing the gap between families ?

Just a few Questions if you get an answer that would be grand.

1. I know Clubs sort new kits out several months before release as they book blocks of time at the factories to make everything so in all probability the new kit has been decided on. The question i have is, are United going release the new kits before the summer so fans can take them on their holidays (this is quite a selling point for younger fans)? And will the club restock the range prior to Christmas as this xmas just gone the shop had no kids kits left and were not getting anymore meaning they lost £100 of my money to adidas and the Scottish FA.

2. Any chance of getting a new pie supplier in, the current pies are nothing but gravy encased in cardboard pretending to be pastry.

3. Why are loyalty points counted in the thousands? In a couple of years the top point holders will be in the 100,000s, surely knocking a couple of zeros off would make sense eg. 5 points for buying a home ticket, 250 for a season ticket etc?

thats it really, Thank you!

Picking up on Coopers point. I attend as many away games as I can but it will take ages to build up thousands of loyalty points. I think away games should get double/triple points reflecting the extra cost incurred in travel etc.

This would reward those who can't just roll-out of bed and into the ground. o_O

Bladesplayer is worth a mention, whilst a little better than earlier in the season it is still hit and miss. Cuts in and out from time to time, and always seems to be behind the live action. Really frustrating.

Thanks for raising these points.

Tony.
