I was listening to Talk Sport yesterday driving home. They were running through their 'any other business' segment where they run down what is happening in sport that they may not have spoken about so far on the show. They got to the 'football league' and Adrian Durham says something like "Norwich City will clinch the title if Leeds fail to win their remaining games, Sheffield United are also involved." What? Firstly, that's incorrect. Second, we're "also involved" ??! Did anyone else hear this? I almost came off the road it made me so mad.

Adrian Durham is a cunt who'd say anything controversial to try and boost failing listener ratings.
 
Apparently there is a recording of him on a train full if celebrating blades when Brentford scored the second
 
I listened just before lunch to Jim Smith. I was getting more and more annoyed by the fact they were just discussing Leeds and Villa. Until I realised the discussion was about the play offs.

They did give us a few mentions saying things like "we can't forget sheff united, they've been fantastic"

Agree Adrian Durham had a day off yesterday. It was Darren Gough with Danny Kelly standing in for Durham.
Kelly (a big Spurs fan) has admitted in previous shows many times that he’d love to see Leeds and Bielsa in the Premier League.
He always goes on about how his manager Pochettino totally idolises Bielsa and learnt so much from him back in Argentina.
 
It bodes well for how we are going to be perceived next year if we go up. I'm guessing we will be relegation favourites again.

This might have been a lie, a bit of artistic licence
 
Durham praised us on Twitter after watching us at Hull.

Jim White and others on the show have frequently heaped praise on us and Wilder, having interviewed him a few times since he came in.

To be fair almost every team that is promoted automatically become relegation favourites.
We will be treat the same as the other promoted clubs and be expected to struggle, which is a good thing as it takes off the pressure.
Also our fans thrive on being the underdog, we will have one of the nosiest grounds if and when we return to the PL.
 
This is why I'd love to win the league so so much. And I hope/expect thats how Wilder is trying to ease the pressure of the Ipswich game (ie its not a cup final, its 3 points we need to achieve the title like when in League 1).

If we won then the media wouldnt know what to do.

So far Norwich have been the outstanding team in the league and Leeds have let it slip. No real acknowledgement of us. Would love it if we ripped it all up.

Jim White always heaps massive praise on Sheffield United and Chris Wilder
But to be honest in heaps massive praise on almost everyone he interviews, he’s a bit if a creep really ha.

Same in all the media, seems like we're the invisible team. On Monday The Guardian and Times had full articles on the Leeds game (they'd obviously both sent reporters to cover it). We were footnotes (literally a paragraph) in the roundup of other games!

Over the weekend The Times ran two stories. One from Henry Winter titled "Why Premier League needs Leeds United", which is an entire article swooning over Leeds, that doesn't even mention us, included the paragraph:

Leeds know they still have major work to complete. They also know how much they want it. If Leeds do go up, the city will acquire even more of a buzz, there will be more students switching there, and there will be smiles among broadcasters, knowing that noise is guaranteed at Elland Road.

The second from Rod Liddle, "They managed to lose at home against Wigan, but Leeds still get my vote to finish second", at least we got a mention in that article: he predicted us to lose in the play off final against Villa (which could still happen of course).

TBH, I hope it stays like this until things are confirmed. All the Leeds fans commenting under the above articles were saying it was the kiss of death (before they played over the weekend).

I don't care what is said in the press. That Sky show featuring all the hacks on Sunday mornings proves they don't know jack about jack shit.

However if there is a smugger twat amongst the entire press corps then Henry Fucking Winter....... his name is Oliver Holt.
