He scored 10 in 13 starts for us, 10 in 19 starts for Pompey, 1 in 5 starts for Bradford, 23 in 40 starts for Sisu and 37 in 79 starts for Livingston. That’s 81 in 156 starts. In total, with sub appearances combined he’s scored 81 goals in 228 games, now no matter what level you’re at that isn’t too shabby is it.

Yes, but how many of those goals for us were actually in those 13 starts? Particularly under Clough it seemed like he was a player that did well off the bench but when given a start (usually following a goal from coming on as sub) he didn’t really perform. I suspect his minutes needed per goal (which tends to be the stat most commonly used now that goals vs starts) might not be as impressive when you look at his time here and Bradford.

When McNulty came he was young, carrying a bit too much weight but crucially wasn't mature off the pitch (at least that's my assumption based on the well publicised twitter posts) and it was only when we released him - that it appears - that the penny has dropped. He did little at Bradford and did OK at Portsmouth but for me it was definitely the right move to let McNulty go last summer. Its being the making of him, but as I said earlier I think he should have stayed at Cov.

Yeah, I’d like to see that stat and see how it stacks up against our Billy, who will obviously have a relatively high percentage?

Football is seemingly run for the benefit of the agents, not players, supporters or even shareholders but agents who look for short term profit at the expense of their players long term futures.
Clubs and subsequently supporters and shareholders no longer have a say in how their club should be run.

Will be a decent player. Sure you could get annoyed about his lollypop & ganzi. But top drawer finisher.
So he puts his clothes away and runt eat his sweets all at once. His Mum will be pleased.

Gone to Sunderland. Best agent in football that kid

Just looked it up, he scored a grand total of 1 in 15 appearances in an awful Reading side last season. 8 in 17 at Hibs on loan though.

Safe to say League One is his level. His agent has done well to get him a move to Sunderland though.

He is well known to the Sunderland manager when he managed St Mirren.
McNulty was excellent at Hibs last season so a move to Sunderland in League One with a manager who knows him is no surprise.

League one is about the same standard as 75% of the Scottish Premier League so it’s his level.

Don't know why but for some reason with McNulty (as opposed to our other "problem" player from that era, Jose Baxter, who I couldn't give a flying fuck about how he gets on after what he did) I'm always interested to have a look when owt crops up about him. Had his issues but I generally expected him to crack on a bit in his career at some point . Just had a look and 8 goals in 17 appearances last season, so if he can maintain that form should do ok in L1. GLTTL I'd say.
