I have a similar feeling and found myself thinking the slightly ludicrous "If he was any good he'd have scored more than 16 goals and 4 assists", at which point I had a word with myself and shut the fup. It's like Salah having a poor season.

Easy to forget that when Leicester reached the Premier League five years ago, they tried to get him off Ipswich for £5-6 million. Ipswich held out for £8 million and Leicester baulked. That's big money. Three injury-ravaged seasons then followed, and he left Ipswich on a free only for a shrewd manager elsewhere to gladly pick him up.
