McBurnie

Sadly, I've noticed this type of thing before re injuries and mind games with United. An example is having an injured player do the press conference as the interviewed player to imply they're playing and no mention of an injury but then the player in question doesn't play. Now, it could be that they've got injured after the press conference, but I'm sceptical of that. McBurnie was one of the players I recall was missing after doing a press conference, to be honest I can't remember anymore but not sure.
Anel last week.

“Stick a few past him”! Is he winding us up?! He’ll barely get a kick. You have to laugh at his confidence, given how easy the opposition team will find it against him.

I thought it was obvious Captain…….

I still wonder how McBurnie missed that opportunity against Man Utd.

Snatched at it, which he has a tendency to do, especially in a drought. Hopefully gets a few more from somewhere to settle him down, he can finish I'm sure of that.

Archer was offside if I recall correctly. Think it would have been ruled out

Yeah it looked like someone was offside but did a Man Utd player touch it first to play him them on?

Looks onside actually? This is where I thought the offside was.

Was Oli off from the archer rebound?

If its took a week to send him for a scan? It was a hamstring wasn't it? Not a whack where swelling occurs and you have to wait.

I'm guessing we won't see him for a while like Anel...at least till after next break.

Groin injury.

Aye right. That many easy to get confused.

Still not sure why you'd need to wait?

It wasn't an impact injury so 4 or 5 days to get a scan?

I expect the 'be out for a while' next week joining Anel, Egan, Bash, Davies etc as ones we won't see for ages.

McBurnie has been one of few plusses this season but once again is constantly crocked so you can see why the club might not give him a new deal. He barely plays a run of games ever. Been the same every season. However I'd still keep him over lots of others out of contract.

With him out will be desperate stuff with the strikers we have left. None are anywhere near this level in terms of physicality, ball retention, strength and know how.

I'd play one up top on Saturday and tell Brewster/Archer they have a half each to just run around.

Getting pretty dire isnt it with all the gaps in the squad.
