And just to clarify that most on here aren't on the same planet as Fallowfield Blade.Just to clarify I am not in any sort of relationship with FallowfieldBlade
I think you are right but, if he gives us 100% ( which some players don't...e.g. Moose,Lundstram) he should be backed and encouraged by the fans. Whether he is good enough is a different issue which Hecky will have to sortI am indifferent to him, I just don't think he is the right fit for us.
I think Brewster might have that crown although I am sure if we think hard enough there will be others pre Wilder( Geoff Horsefield ?)But so far so bad- without doubt the worst pound for pound signing the Blades have ever made.
And I'm sick of the 'he puts a shift in' bollocks.I think he does care, I think he does try, but fact is for the money we have paid and are paying we were all hoping for a lot better output than we have had.
And everybody who slags him off on here would be more than happy to laud him if he turns it around-
But so far so bad- without doubt the worst pound for pound signing the Blades have ever made.
I'm just soooo bored of this shite!
He'll never ever be the mythical 20 goal striker that some people seem to think he is and he'll end up finding his true level at Rochdale or somewhere, but not at Bramall Lane!
Just to clarify I am not in any sort of relationship with FallowfieldBlade
I'm sure he'll finally get a 'pre-season' in League 2 where he belongs!
I hope he comes good. But it is just hope.
He's done nothing to make anybody believe it will happen.
He was fit for a big part of last season. Started 9, came on as sub 19 times. 28 appearances. Zero goals. The lad just doesn’t have it unfortunately and I’m hoping McCall is not saying he needs a decent run in the team meaning they are gonna chuck him in and leave in there for half a dozen games or so regardless if he scores or not because it will be at the detriment of the youngsters who are better option.
I remember some good goals in the Premiership and now that he is getting fit and has scored a goal I just hope that he goes on to prove many wrong as well as helping us to succeed.I'm not one to knock him. If all this is true he has my backing 100%. End of day he could of done a moose on us been quite happy watching his bank balance rack up while on treatment table, according to Mcall he hasn't. I'd be embarrassed to be put in the u21s he's jumped at chance. Blades love a trier let's back the lad
I’d be more interested in hearing Jack Lesters opinion of McBurnies attacking prowess tbh?5th choice. At best.
Admirable of McCall to big him up.
Futile, but admirable !!
UTB
Whilst it is very much Jam tomorrow and excuses, it doesn’t stop them being true.Jam tomorrow as always with McBurnie.
Just needs a pre-season, just needs a run of games, just needs to get fit etc.
It’s excuse after excuse, stick a half fit Billy in 28 games and he will bag half a dozen goals. Our star striker not only didn’t score but never remotely looked like he was going too. We can make excuse after excuse but as has been said just above he’s pound for pound our worse ever signing. My big worry this season and by McCall’s talk is they are going to play him regardless, in the complete hope he comes good and we can get even a little money for him. We have done our money, we won’t get a feee for him and even if he was fit and played every single game this season he would score 2 at the very most and I’m being kind. Brewster, Jebbo, Osula is where McCall and Hecky should be concentrating their attention in getting a goal scoring striker because they are the future. He wasn’t fit he was playing injured and not fully fit at all which is literally what McCall and hecky have said in press conferences before
3,2,1 you're back in the room...I hope he comes back fit and raring to go, scores a boatload and get us up, then signs a new contract to help us become an established Premier League top half team.
Mind you, I also hope to win theEuromillions this Friday, and I know which one has the likelier outcome.
1. He's had one good spell in his, albeit short career and that was during his time at Swansea which included a lot an at Barnsley!Again apart from been the joint top scorer for us in the premier league and scoring 20+ goals in the Champ for Swansea and 10+ in half a season for barno
The last 2 seasons have been an absolute write off for him due to injuries covid etc… which is a fair criticism not all his own doing. You wouldn’t blame JOC for the last 2/3 season not doing much would you
He is in the last chance saloon for his blades career imo the season we finished 9th he was every bit a £20 million striker hence wolves wanting to buy him
The lads career has fallen off a Cliff
