McBurnie In away end

Couldn't give a shit what he does in his spare time as long as CW is fine with it then it's fine by me!

The thing that gets to me (and other blades out there “offended” with his behaviour) is that McBurnie may have still got a strong love for the club he started off at, but..he’s a representative of Sheffield United. He may be a supporter of Swansea...but he’s a Sheffield United player. Set a fucking example why don’t you? To me, that looks like a chav who’s grown up from a rough childhood and he won a ticket to see the Derby from a radio competition. I’m guilty of giving the V sign and cursing at the opposition supporters, but the lads a professional footballer representing our football club. If I wasn’t a blades fan and saw that I’d think “god, what a lower class scum set of footballers/fans they’ve got”. The stone island jacket is associated with hooliganism which doesn’t help matters.

Grow up ffs! I was 23 once and I was as daft as that, but I’m not on match of the day every week, and his passion for Swansea needs to be notched down a level (especially when attending a televised game)

The Welsh East 17....

He's clearly a prize wazzock with idiot mates. Nothing wrong with him going to Swansea games. If he's getting pissed-up, especially after the drinking driving thing then he needs a slap.

He is a professional footballer representing Sheffield United. He needs to act with a bit more though. Doing wanker signs on TV and giving it the rods is not on. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get fined.

Fucking hell, hope they're looking for an elocution teacher and some tailors along with the multilingual driver on the vacancies section.

If he's not speaking the Queen's English and wearing a cummerbund by March there'll be riots.

He's now tucked up watching the NFL, not out getting hammered.

Nobody will care what he's done all week if he bags at Arsenal.
But not getting hammered is the absolute minimum he can do in his position?

Only my call, but if Martin gets a fraction more on that shit shot on Friday night then Oli gets battered on here for offering chavs out and giving the wanker sign live on sky

Anyway glttl

Oh absolutely, he wouldn't get away with it anyway, we're Premier League with strength and conditioning.

It's just the first thing a lot expect when they see him out with lads and giving the wankers in the stands.

Yes fair point.

It does seem like his life and career are on a bit of a knife-edge, but as silentblade says, Chris never really disappeared from the terrace so is well placed to keep his head above the water. Let's hope.

I’ve always been firmly of the belief that anything you do in the time they aren’t paying you is absolutely fuck all to do with your employer (serious criminality aside) and there is a lot of Daily Mail style outrage over very inconsequential things like what he chooses to wear.

That said he does seem to have a lot of hangers on and I hope he’s clever enough to realise they won’t be around when he’s no longer useful.

I think it depends on what your day job is. If you represent a national/international business and are in the public eye then I’m afraid it has everything to do with your employer how you behave out of work. It reflects on them. You can’t have it both ways. You are either a private individual or a public one.

I think what McBurnie has to come to terms with is how he wants to be viewed by others? A top marksman for club and country or a bit of a lad acting the goat at footy matches with his mates and tweeting innuendoes to porn stars?

I think the lad is probably a really nice kid and means no harm but his actions are immature and don’t reflect well on him or our club.

Premier League footballer enjoying watching football with his mates in the stand? Goodness me, it’s an outrage (unless, like Wilder, he was watching the Blades, then that’s wonderful).

Some people really struggle to find things to be outraged about.
