He also said that he's out of contract so would be a free.

True, but if the supply and tactics had been right early doors, I'm sure we could discount pressure! I think the fans and his team-mates have been more than patient with him.

Just to add, for me, I think he's worth his place. I just wish he'd bag a couple here and there! He must've had the most disallowed goals in the league.
