He'll be a replacement for Trippier who has gone to Spurs.
Does this mean the end of Kyle Walker's career?

He's needs to sign for a club who play three Cente backs and he can play wing back, if he's playing in a 4-4-2 and has to do any defending, he's screwed.

Did we have any add ons with international call ups for jags or walker

I thought this the other day but at only 25 surely he should be hitting his prime. A good pre season might help him to stake his place in the team. I think it's good to have quality on the bench I can't see Walker being too happy with a back up/rotation place if Trippier shines.

My comment was more based on his return from injury and his struggle to get back to match fitness. I just hope he is not finished due to injury.

I always thought Lowton was a poor defender, even at this level. He cost us plenty of points in his season at this level, although admittedly his attacking play led to plenty of goals going the other way.

I've also not forgiven him for the debacle at home to Oldham (and the subsequent one the following Tuesday at Walsall). Those dropped points cost us promotion.

he also missed his pen against hudders in the game we shall not mention
that sticks in my mind

I do that most nights of the week.

Its usually in front of the Kop, wearing the lace-up shirt and the first to congratulate me is Brian Deane.
You must have a very understanding missus to black up and go through all that just to indulge your depraved fantasy. Does it develop from there or is it strictly no tongues for ultimate realism?

I don't think that was the single most important event that cost us promotion that season though.
And maybe if BT had put a shift in we'd have coped.

We'd have won that game against Oldham had Lowton not dived in like a pillock and got himself sent off. As it was, we lost. That was three points down the drain.

Similarly, on the Tuesday we played at a bang average Walsall side and lost. Now I can't say with as much certainty that'd we'd have won that one because I can't say how the match would have shaken down. But we were missing Lowton and Maguire (also sent off against Oldham as a result of us chasing the game, due to Lowton's idiocy). It's probably we'd have got a draw if not a win if half our first choice defence was available.

Even if not, the points dropped at Oldham ended up costing us hugely. And it was entirely Lowton's fault.

But no grudge then?

We were also missing Collins ,3 out of the back 4 ,and we brought in Matt Fucking Hill.
As mentioned Lowton was THE penalty in the play off final ,scored that we would have pissed it.

They weren't the only games we lost though. Every time we had a player missing Wilson seemed to struggle to cope with it, the prime example being pigs away.
Yes, Lowton may have cost us points but he wasn't the only one who did that season. Or any season.

I hold Maguire responsible for the Walsall defeat. Given all the defensive troubles, to then get sent off in the final minute was inexcusable. A defence of Ertl, Egan(?), Hill and Taylor was only going to result in one thing.

That's like a Clough defence.
