Has gone public with his wish to leave West Brom, big boost for us as he's a big player for one of our main rivals.

He went on record after the West Brom manager accused him of not being committed.

I had a look at his statement on twitter, there's loads of comments from fans of Al Hilala suggesting he's signing for them, aren't they part of United World? In the same way Beerschot are? Bit of an odd move, although he's suggested it's financially motivated

No. I think PA used to own Al Hilal or was involved in some way but they're def not part of United World.

Would be a very odd move as you’d think he’d get a move to a top European league and it’s not as if he’d be going for a last big pay day

The money being paid by those clubs is life changing. Could easily have been offered a 10 million a year contract. Will be a big improvement on his WBA wages.

Oh yeah completely it’s just unusual to see a player in their early 20’s make the move tends to be older players with “star power” as it makes sense for both parties the club gets the boost in reputation and commercial revenue and the player gets a big pay day.

I wonder if Arabian football will take china’s place now they’ve introduced wage restrictions

Blows my mind that players like that who are already financially secure want to go an play in a crap league for no reason….

wba will sell him plenty of PL interest where he’d be able to ask for 60/70k+ a week easily. Then you’d get all there other stuff that comes with being a PL footballer. Throwing your career away for a few extra million at this stage seems short sighted to me
