Not long till Jug Ears introduces Utd and we bamboozle him and his merry band of shiny headed pundits in post match analysis (if they have time for us). Looking forward to seeing the Opening credits sequence and where we appear. In terms of running order for next Satdi I predict 3rd last game unless there are more than 4 goals. Any advances? Also I cannot wait to watch Wilders post match interviews, come what may.... Giddy from Cambridge
 



Newly promoted teams special? Nah more likely soon to be relegated special or maybe a why West Ham and other London teams are far better than those northern oiks special.
 
I've already got the sky sports match choice of our game set to record as Virgin EPG goes two weeks ahead rather than one. Think its red button from 10 ( unless its the main match choice for 10pm) but at 1am extended highlights of our game
 
Depends what we do, if we get dicked we'll be on first or second leaving them plenty of time for their platitudes and patronising.
They like the nice, cuddly, little, Southern club Bournemouth, and will have to get them on early before their fans retire for the evening with their cocoa.
If we win they'll show the goals during the music at the end

Its fair to say that I won't be watching Match of the Day at this season, unless i am up early on a Sunday morning or don't have any other way to catch up on the goals. I find the presenters and pundits very dull. It needs a new format.

I really enjoy football focus though, Dan Walker is excellent and has some good guests

But Liverpool play Friday, Arsenal, ManUre and Chelski and Steve Bruce's Newcastle play Sunday.

Looking at the Sat'day fixtures, there's every chance we'd be third up after Citeh and Spurs highlights.
 



I honestly cant wait for this season. I've never looked forward to something as much (football wise 😂) .
  • Waiting up until 12pm to watch Blades as we're the final game on MOTD
  • Buying FIFA for the first time in about 10 years to play at Bramall Lane
  • Super Sundays
  • Monday night football
  • Neville and Carragher pretending they know Wilders tactics and how he's going to play
  • VAR
Roll on next Saturday.

I don't think it's too much of a crime against football to shorten the name of a club as long as everyone knows who you are referring to and there's no chance of misidentification. The PL pundits can call us Sheffield all they like next season, no one will think they are referring to Wednesday.

What really pisses me off though, is when they refer to another club (normally Man U) as "United" as though there's only one United in the PL and everyone knows who they are referring to. It must also piss off fans of Newcaste, West Ham etc.

As we were the first club to be called United maybe we should sue Man U.
 
I'll just enjoy Sheffield United being part of it, the rest of the show I will enjoy as well or I'd just switch it off ;)
 
Doesn't bother me when people call us Sheffield it's as if they don't know of the existence of the south Barnsley massive
A couple more seasons in and around the prem and it will be pretty standard

I normally get the goals from Sky, Youtube or iFollow last season. Not sure its actually needed anymore, its not like the analysis that they do is really useful for coaches.

Perhaps the BBC could just put a goals round up on iplayer as well as MOTD
