We're like arsenal. Fleck is 8 years out, free shot, passes to clark 6 yards out, tees it up for Billy (further out than Fleck), blazes over.

That sums up our finishing since Christmas. All three of them had excellent chances to shoot from within the area and we end up not even hitting the fucking target!

Apart from a great 15/20 minute spell in the second half, rubbish.

When we were 2-1 up we seemed to just take our foot of the gas and then let them have the ball.

It was like we were complacent coming into the game and again as soon as we went ahead.

Lack of concentration, too many errors all over the pitch and a lack of effort.

I’ll tell you why - it was on Fleck’s right peg and he didn’t have the confidence to use it. It really gets me wound up when professional footballers can’t use their weaker leg and that includes international standard players.

All credit to Barnsley. I thought they’d crumble when we went 2-1 up but instead it was us. Couldn’t handle the route one stuff.
Had enough chances to win that easily though.
Not sure we could handle the pressure of a playoff game based on that.

We were comfortable at 2-1 and then Moore gifted them a goal. After that we had some good chances our finishing is terrible.

I said it back at the start of the season we waste too many chances. The amount of possession was have should see us scoring more goals.

Turning point....Utd giving yet another fkin stupidly soft goal away to let them get it back to 2 - 2. We were a absolutely mullering them at that stage. Yet why am i not surprised that we can consistently make a total fuk up of things.

As for their leveller...we stood off the lad who shot and we have him way too much space...and then our keeper fantastic (who I have always had doubts over but somehow most on here think is a quality keeper) pushes the ball straight out to their lad. Total shite all round.

If you concede 2 goals in the last 20 mins when you are leading the game and in total control then you deserve absolutely fuk all. Shot ourselves in the foot....again.

We conceded 3 shockers today so the problem isn't just at the front end. Summer recruitment will be interesting, can't see Wilder settling for peanuts this time.

I hope he doesn’t settle for peanuts. He deserves more and certainly should command more.

Same old shit. Lying down and letting shit teams get their big result. What was it 2 wins in 28 for the dingles ? Dear me

I think that one will cost us a playoff place. It was the easiest of the three games we had coming up. We may have been away from home but Barnsley are a poor side and we should have put them to bed after getting in front. We seem to be saying that a lot lately.

I’m not going to get too down about it. We have had a good first season back in the Championship. Need to sharpen up at both ends though. I would make signing a quality centre half and forward a priority over the summer. I would also get Blackman signed permanently if possible and someone to compete with Enda down the left. I honestly think we only need 3 or 4 but they need to be quality players and if we have a budget it should all be spent on those 3-4 positions.

I think exactly the same but two quality strikers.

far better 2nd half attacking wise. But so frustrating & pissed off, we gave ourselves big mountain to climb after a terrible 1st half. We Climbed it, then proceed to throw it away from 2-1 up

With yet another late goal

And that's been one of our problems all season. ('To me...to you). We lack that 'killer instinct' - just one goal in 90+ minutes all season, totally dominating Barnsley in most of the second half, but we never 'put a game to bed'. As we saw last Monday, one goal in front is always precarious. Our build-up is too ponderous. Barnsley's first home win in over 5 fucking months. Thankfully, our PO chance has all but gone, but we're not ready. Better to get a game like today out of the way now, and I'm sure CW will have learnt from this for next season.
Hoooo for the January window, the board bottled it!

As disappointed as we all are about this defeat, surely now is not the time to have a go at 'the board' (whoever they may be.)

I think exactly the same but two quality strikers.

So which 'quality strikers' are available or affordable'? Leon has scored more than Middlesbrough's top scorer Assombalonga - our opponents next Tuesday. And he cost £15m.

Our form since Coutts got injured has been the stuff of relegation.

For the run in, what’s that now? 7 points from a possible 18.

Wilder was right after Hull.

Moore let’s in too many soft goals. There’s a reason he was in Cardiff’s reserves at this level.

Can I just point out that despite the chances we might have taken today, we generally shouldn’t be having to score 4 goals to win a game against a third-bottom Barnsley team. Pinning this solely on the strikers, who have surpassed expectations for this season frankly, would be misplaced.

We can’t win a game so we’re not going to get in the play offs. Someone was spouting about winning every game a few weeks ago. We’ve won 0 games since.
yeah that was me.. i genuinely believed it at the time.. you'll be pleased to hear that even i have thrown the towel in now

This is so true. Missed chances are one thing but we also defended like school kids at times today. Far too much space given to players shooting from the edge of the box. Christ knows how many long rangers we have conceded this season? Only saw their second goal once but Moore looked like he pushed the long range shot right back into the danger zone - this has also happened a few too many times with him. Then they score from a corner, something that we have managed maybe once all season!

I fucking hate football sometimes.
