You mean Dame Baroness Mary Earps VC, DFC and bar.You know it makes sense ......
No expert on her but seen plenty of that level and I would say that level is above women's level physically and the technically. The only advantage the elite women would have is full time training but I doubt that would overcome natural advantages. A fair amount of players at that level now had spells at academies themselves. Essentially hit it hard and high enough and it's inIMHO considering Earps' ability and the physical nature of the time, I'd expect her to play at step 5 or 6 if playing against men
You're probably right BB. In our part of the world, I was thinking she could probably play Hellenic Div 2 but even that may be too physicalNo expert on her but seen plenty of that level and I would say that level is above women's level physically and the technically. Changing room would be a problem, then there's the rainbow folk to keep happy, is it worth the hassle?. Joke , for anyone offended![]()
When the rules regarding height of the bar were introduced in the 1870's the height of a keeper would probably be similar to where ME is now.I would like to see a woman's keeper in a man's game as a good amount of the time I see a goal in the women's version they just look absolute crap. Would give us a chance if other sides were forced to play them...
I dunno if they have to make the goals smaller like how in cricket they make the boundaries smaller or in boxing rounds shorter but the advantage men have in height really does show when it comes to keepers
Genuine question. Would she be allowed to play in the men's league if she identified as such? Dunno what the ins and outs of it are? Assume she'd have to go through all the trials and what have you for the team.I would like to see a woman's keeper in a man's game as a good amount of the time I see a goal in the women's version they just look absolute crap.
