Lee Martins season could be over after the knee injury sustained against Middlesboro could be worse than expected(Cartilage damage).

True, but he has a go at taking on too many players, and he usually getthe ball took off him, atleast Martin can get past players, they are both as bad as each other if you ask me, but both really good players.

I have rated both players since i saw them play, both do good stuff down the wings, just hard to choose.

Both players have looked good since they came, probably Cotterill being the most dangerous seeing as he's been providing the goals but Martin hasn't had much of a chance to play under Blackwell.

I'm sure Bruce has said Cotterill's only on loan for first team football and is still a part of his Wigan plans, but if Martin is being priced around £2million then surely theres better, cheaper players. Not that i dont want the club to show ambition

The evolution of this thread provides a perfect example of why players should be given time to prove themselves before any judgement is passed.

The general concencus through the first few replies seemed to be that Cotterill was not up to scratch and then gradually opinions appear to have changed.

I think Cotterill has ALL of the attributes to be a top class winger and i would be made up if we could secure his signature at the end of the season.

Martin has pace to burn and a few tricks but i would like to see more of him before making up my mind. If we could sign both i would be very happy but if i had to chose one of the other at this moment in time it would have to be 'tango boots'.

Martin certainly has potential. But he wasnt getting the ball into dangerous enough places. Not enough end product for me.
