How did Marlon King get on did the fans back him today where their any boo towards him.

Vast majority applauded him when introduced - just a few few boos. He had a mixed game - held it up ok at times and the odd decent lay off - but at other times his control was poor. Didn't look fit enough - but most of the team don't. Hard to judge him in such an inept team performance.

He struggled with fitness, hasn't trained all summer so can't blame him for that... but the manager that panic-signed him then threw him straight into the 1st team...

No point in buying him to nurse him in. Did right to chuck him in at the deep end. He'll sink or swim. I think he'll swim.

No boos for him during the game, apart from Preston fans of course
There were from the Family stand. Completely out of order during a game - protest before / after if you want but not while the teams playing.

and can anyone explain to me what the manager was attempting to achieve with such a move.

I imagine the thinking was he couldn't possibly make us worse...

The cheers were way louder than the boos when his name was announced. All a storm in teacup really as he is immobile and can't win headers.

Marlon King looked like a poor man's Wayne Allison. Except with a shinier head. Every jump got his head lower than if he'd just stood still.
