Maybe if we swapped Wilder for a Turkish manager he'd get a tune out of Mc Guinness and Matos . It'd be a lot cheaper as well..

Well RND did a lot better for them than us and all of us laughed when they took him on loan so its not impossible they come back to the same well.

Heard from someone who knows McGuinness that he doesn't like or get on with Wilder, so fully expect him to leave this summer.
Alternatively, Wilder recognises, as we do, that McG is a spineless, useless CB, which pretty much all of us knew before he was signed, and McG isn’t appeh.
He doesn’t get on with Wilder cos Wilder doesn’t rate him. Because McG is bobbar.

It's entirely possible that McGuinness recognises that successful football clubs need more than a defined "culture". There's no doubt that he's not good enough for where we want to be but that doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong in thinking that Wilder might not be the right man to get us there.

It's possible, although highly improbable that a journeyman centre half has concerns about "culture" to the extent that he feels the need to fall out with the boss over it.
Any way up, it would be much better for everybody if he spent his time thinking about how to mark opposition forwards in our 18 yard box.

I can live with Wilder not getting on with McGuinness and binning him off. I think him falling out with Ben Mee is what worries me about Wilder these days.

Even if Mee was retiring Wilder made a big mistake dropping him after injury. Tanganga needed that experienced head alongside him despite Bindon doing okay.

Rumour has it he is half decent in league 1. Pray Leicester haven’t watched him and swap him with Souttar !!!
I suggested that in shoutbox a couple of weeks back. It's a win all round: Leicester can get a high earner off their books, we can get a flop off ours, the players should be happy with the moves and, most importantly, Souttar "gets the club". The only issue would be that we'd probably have to subsidise McGuinness's wages while Leicester are in L1 and probably pay Souttar somewhere around £40k per week.

I think Ben Mee retiring tells the story about the level he was at.

After Mee's performance v Mansfield I would be more worried if our manager didn't fall out with him.

Or getting rid of them.
But when they are on big wages and a long contract you cant always do that. And even if you can you get more money for them if you can somehow look like you want them....rather than making it obvious to all and sundry that you dont rate them

Is that you, Mark? 🤣

Good management isnt falling out with players who arent playing well. Its figuring out how to get them playing better
Exactly this, that day a 36 year old Ben Mee was playing LCB next to McGuinness and Burrows with Davies in goal. Burrows is known for his ability going forwards but being average in defence and not the greatest at tracking back. Although Davies can’t be blamed, he wasn’t first choice and doesn’t command his area. Mee was covering LCB and LB along with picking up mistakes from RCB. Although it was a home game wasn’t exactly packed and the Mansfield players and fans along with coaching staff were up for it. It would have been different after a league fixture but that day I still don’t blame Mee. The most solid we looked was with a back 4 of Seriki, Tanganga, Mee and McCallum with Cooper in goal, after McCallum’s injury things went down hill from there

We've had some bad luck with injuries to key defenders ,
JoC , Egan , Bash , McCallum just when he was blossoming
