We should only consider players who are either as good as or better than players in our current first team.

Law was neat and tidy but very conservative. He had one burst forward second half where everything opened up for him, but after carrying the ball forward he pinged it backwards and wide for a safe pass.

If that's indicative of his game he needs to take more risks on the ball. Bradford lacked that generally.
 
For Mark Marshall see Jamal Campbell Rice

Can have good games
Will always work hard
Will always try to be positive in taking the defence on
Will sometimes get it right a few times per game
But in general the end product will have you pulling your hair out
 
Both Law and Marshall looked good (not necessarily championship quality) in my opinion, but with them both being nearly 30, and neither having Champ experience, I think it's a non-starter.

He was Bradfords downfall. Everything past halfway went wide to him getting chalk on his boots but he rarely got a cross in. When you're that predictable it's easy to cut them out.
 
Anyone saying his end product was poor has a bad memory or didn't pay attention. Just about every cross he put in was good - with either foot.

I'd consider him as a squad player for us next season, as he can play anywhere in the attacking positions.

When we're talking about wingers we have to consider that any we sign might have to be squad players - because we don't play with any. And if we continue with 3-5-2 next season any wingers would usually be on the bench.

It's OK saying we should only sign players who'll get in the first team, but this is an example of why you can't always do that. You've got to have wide options, even if your starting formation doesn't really accommodate them.

Yes - his crosses were excellent and he was let down by our good defending and Wyke not finishing them off. He also picked up great positions in general.

Not necessarily saying we should be looking to sign him, but he was good yesterday.
 
At his peak he got banned for two years for taking steroids...... Not a great start as far as i am concerned.

Given that he is 29 years old and playing at as high a level as he has done, i think we can set our sights a little bit higher than this lad. ( and thats not me having a go at his height )

None of the Bradford players on show yesterday would get into our current side, never mind next seasons.

So for that reason.....I'm out.

Just shows how we all see things differently. I saw him put a couple of decent crosses in first half (Wyke should have scored from a very good one) but then second half i lost count of the number of times he gave the ball away in our final third.
 
He's a top player but I wouldn't bring him in for the Championship.

There have been other players this season that have played far better against us. Ricky Holmes for Charlton sticks out.

Wherever Law has played his game has been based around doing the simple thing and not giving the ball away. I've often thought that he appears too lazy and too conservative to be any more than a mid table league one player.

If he'd have shown more of what he had when he was a youngster here in that he got forward and played more box to box he'd have kicked on but he seems to have settled into that deep midfield role.

Never gets a mention that he made his debut against man yoo in the prem for us

He man marked Paul Scholes, didn't find out he was playing until 2 hours before kick off either as Warnock didn't want him worrying. He had a good game from memory but that and an appearance late on away at Newcastle were about it before he was ostracised by Blackwell the following season.
