Just looking at March fixtures and see that we only play at home once the whole month:-

4th v Rochdale - away
7th v Oxford - away
11th blank Saturday -,think we brought a game forward
14 v Swindon - away
18 v Charlton - HOME
25 v Oldham - away
28 v Millwall - would have been home but now postponed.

Anyhow I've never seen something like this. Looks like we may use some of our cushion during this period. Anyone remember another time we were at home only once in a whole month?

The good news is that Utd seem to be well capable of going to any division 1 ground and turning over the home side. Let's face it we have been to traditionally tough away games at Charlton, Southend, Scunthorpe, Bolton, Millwall, Peterborough etc and we haven't done too badly at all. Losses to Bolton and Millwall and they were bother right at the start of the season with a different blades team on show.

Maybe being away will suit Utd as the pressure of expectation from the home fans and the nervousness from them might have hindered us at the Lane.

I'm fairly happy that we are mainly away now so that we can concentrate on the job in hand, be very professional, and bring the points back to the Lane. If we have a decent run away from home now I think we are nearly home and hosed.

Rochdale and Oxford away are tricky games. Oxford are doing very well at the moment and sit top of the current form table.

However, we have no one to fear and provided we apply ourselves as we have been recently, positive results are well within our means

It is getting to the time of the season where every game is tough some are fighting to get in the play off's some to stay away from the bottom, the form book can be chucked out of the window. We have got a side good enough to get a result anywhere so I'm not too worried who we have to play or where.

Quite ironic that just as we seem to have got the Bramall Lane Roar back we now have 3 away fixtures in a row. On the other hand we have probably been more consistent on the road this season so I am not worried about dropping too many points.
In terms of the fixtures, both Oxford and Rochdale are still chasing the play offs so won't be parking the bus at home, which is good news. Swindon and Oldham on the other hand could be a grind. 2 very tough home fixtures as well, including another wrestling match but quite honestly I wouldn't bet against is at the minute. Fancy us to pick up 12 points from this lot.

Hopefully teams will have to 'go for it' a little more rather than sit back and counter.
