Barnsley have signed Trotta from Fulham, isn't he exactly the type of signing we should be making?
Italian international at all junior levels U16-21.
Loans at Wycombe - scored 8 in 8. Brentford scored 18 in 59 and played a big part in their promotion season. The previous season he missed the famous play off penalty v Donny but so what, at least he had the confidence to take it!?
I have belief that Higdon will make his mark and that McNulty will improve throughout the season. However if we intend a top two place we need more certainty. Quite what Porter is doing still here is a mystery, he's drawing a wage presumably.
The only rational explanation for this continuing weakness in the squad is the four lettered "C" word, but how soon would he make an impact, if at all this season?
Baxter is not a front runner, even as a "false 9" role surely. He can do more damage in Scougall's role.
Clough knows the score and really should nail his colours to the mast by explaining his logic and reasoning to us fans. There is unnecessary doubt growing and communication if not action would maybe help us understand .
There was budget available in the transfer window and since then we have recruited McCarthy. Big choice of priority and hard to understand. Collins was not that bad surely and weren't we negotiating for three players anyway?
