2022 FA Cup final: Chelsea & Liverpool's marathon 2021-22 in numbers

I think we played 61 matches in the 2002-2003 (Triple Assault) season.

Is that the most we’ve ever played? It certainly is in modern times but maybe we played more when there were multiple replays in cup matches?

I've not counted pre-season tournaments such as the Anglo-Scottish Cup or County Cup, but I highly doubt they would push any season into the high 50s unless that season also included 46 league games, a long cup run, multiple replays or the playoffs, all of which I have counted anyway.
