Yeah I agree, unfortunately football is an unforgiving industry. If we were mid table WLWLWL scenario, no one would have been as bothered about Tuesday, but our immense start leads to increased expectations and quite a few of us (me included) feel the defeats more.
We are almost there as a squad, our starting 11 at present, looks like it could beat anyone and launch a serious promotion push, but it is impossible to use the same 11 for the whole season. Tuesday was a reality check for the players but also the us fans. The reaction to Tuesday shows that the seasons expectation of consolidating is quickly turning into a season of expecting promotion and this is wrong. We really don't have the same level of quality cover in key area to be even thinking about promotion.
Im not joining the meltdown club after 1 defeat on the trot and I'm not saying promotion won't happen, but IMO it is unlikely with the current squad. Which is what I thought before the season started !
