Of that list, Graham Arnold. But that's because the others are all known quantities and they're all known to be titties.

I'd wait and see who gets the Wolves job out of Coyle or Davis then try to get the other one, as I don't think there's much to choose between them.

Then you would have to wait to see who gets the Millwall job (not interviewing for a couple of weeks according to article on BBC)

More and more it looks like Morgan FFS - as there will be no one left and they will panic into the decision before spouting a diatribe of bollox about him knowing the club inside out etc.

You just know don't you?

:(

Why when when about 15 jobs were going in the Championship last season did nobody come in for Danny Wilson?

Yeh, total bollocks

They sure as hell didn't come in for Morgan, Wilder, Curle, Page, Hodges, Slade or indeed any of the gruesome selection of former Blades with whom we are linked.

If we are lucky if will be Southgate a guy who did reasonably well at Boro and has connections with the FA youth set up. If it went tits up he could fall back to his TV work or if he made a success of the job he would be an absolute hero, a no lose situation for him. Watch out for Robert Page as a dark horse in the running too.

Saunders would be worth a go IMO, did well with donny, not really to blame for wolves going down although he should've done better. Best option out of the above for me

Surely there's a sarcastic smiley missing from that sentence?

That list makes me feel extremely sad. However, Kenny Jackett is the stand out candidate on that list!

My first question to the board if he was appointed however would be, How does Kenny Jackett fit a 'young manager' profile as spelt out by Mr McCabe and the fans forum a few months ago??

Perhaps give Southgate a go. Didn't do that great at Boro but they were top four in the Championship when he was sacked, people often forget that. He's always given young players a chance and talks a good game on the telly. Why not? I don't see anyone better.

Totally agree get Danny back, shouldnt have been sacked with few games to go. Don't think we would have lost to Portsmouth with him in charge, and we were still in a good position. More chance of getting to wembley with him in charge than morgs. Would still have him than any of the others. It's time football clubs stuck by the managers for longer, give them the full term. A quick fix rarely works.,and it's happening too often. Just think if we still had Danny and a team with the youngsters and few experienced players and we have Miller and Diego coming back we could be like we were last season, surely that would be something to look forward to

He's only 3 years older than McCall.
Why the hell restrict ourselves to "young" managers anyway?
If we could get a Curbishley or a Coppell would we turn them down?
We've got enough trouble getting a good man in without imposing unnecessary restrictions on ourselves.
51 is a good age for a manager. Experienced but plenty of years left in him.

out of those, none. none of them will reach the end of the season without getting the sack.

Jacket sits in the competent category and wasn't on the radar when he was at Millwall.

How long was he out of work before McCabe gave him a job?

How long did it take him to get MK Dons, Swindon or Bristol City out of the division? NEVER

Your selective memory loss means you've ignored your statement that Wilson would never get another job - all the above tripe is past tense, whereas my original point was that we are now looking at candidates no better than what we had.

So yes, total bollocks.

Well let me know when he gets another job. I was giving reasons why he wouldn't

#never

Would go for something different than the usual suspect which is why I would like Graham Arnold. To me it is a bit like the promoted clubs keep making teams by buying the players who get relegated from the division above. We are a third division club and whilst two seasons ago we played great football we abandoned it on principle straight away we did not get promoted. Well here we are not promoted again and no further forward. Try something new and stick with it.
