Thatvis irrelevant. It is what is happening now and at best we look like a lower championship team
How is it irrelevant? He's pointed out we finished 9th in the prem, Wilder was in charge last season you realise?
Don't come back with an underlining of your point about the here and now, as nobody would doubt we have some significant issues, but the poster has a valid point.

You're a consistently negative poster, long time member or not.

It’s time. Definitely. Thanks for everything Chris but no manager can survive this
I can't dislike this post enough.
4th division were dark times.
Listening to the Hull game hoping we'd go up on goal difference.
The Deane and Fjortoft saga
The 3rd division for more years than I care to remember.
I've lived through so much United related shit since 1971
Wilder can take us back to the 4th tier and still be God in my opinion.
Fking Judas's on here need a lobotomy but they've probably had one anyway.
I seldom post on here these days it's toxic. I used to dread being banned from this site because it was full of good, knowledgeable Blades, understanding supporters who knew what real lows in football were.
Now it's plagued by expectant, pompous, unrealistic so called supporters.
I don't care how long you've been a Blade.
But attacking a man who has been the best thing to happen to this club since Dave Bassett grabbed our collar and hauled us up two tiers.
Tells me you don't deserve success.

...

We’re currently playing without our mainstays and record signing week in week out and by no means disgracing ourselves.

...

2 points out of a possible 45 and we aren’t disgracing ourselves? Jesus wept. I’d hate to see us really disgrace ourselves.

Statistically we’re the worst Premier League team ever, and to watch us, we look every inch just that.

The team, the system, the back room staff, the new training ground, the recruitment of younger players... it’s all part of Wilder and the Prince’s long term vision.

We’re currently playing without our mainstays and record signing week in week out and by no means disgracing ourselves.

Our wage budget is so far out of its depth in this league, with the big bulk being paid to JOC, Fleck, Berge who are all injured. In essence it’s a championship squad.

Bearing in mind all of the above and the current state of our squad, can anyone please explain to me how hiring a new manager would help us long term.

If you answer that, can you also tell me the managers name to replace him and explain exactly how this will help.
TBH, it's gone now this season and the current owner needs to look at himself before the manger, but CW may just have a squad next season in the league below where he does need to start performing again (in all honesty, I am not sure that he can at this point, but he should get the chance).

Perhaps you're right, what I do know is that the Prince hasn't got the money to be a PL owner.
I am sure that not having the untold millions to waste on poor recruitment is the problem for the Prince.
The problem for the Prince is not having had someone with ability and knowledge when it came to recruitment over the last two seasons.
If we had had that person we would be doing rather better than amassing 2 points by the end of Boxing Day.

I can't like this enough. Some reyt surrender monkeys on here. What sort of shit manager would we cop for if Chris left.

We're going down, make no mistake. We've dropped massively after being the best I've ever seen us. Wilder got us to this position, and he's make a complete bollock of it.... But you know what, there's no one better to get us back up again.
Let's have it right, we could appoint the love child of Pep and Fergy tomorrow, we still go down. It's just inevitable really.
So what we need is a man with an exceptional EFL record, someone with multiple promotions, someone who can rebuild a squad and unite a club....
Anyone know what happened to that bloke from Northampton a few years back?

Wilder is the man to sort this situation out, he is capable of bringing us back, and when he does, he comes back a more experienced manager and hopefully the club will have evolved, and developed a proper infrastructure. One that can actually scout and negotiate. A club that doesn't have to hide it's facilities from potential new signings, for fear of scaring them off.

Back Stronger

LOL. Negative poster or realistic ? The performances are poor. Recruitment poor. The team is technically poor. Spent over 100 mill and not improved the team. Sometimes managers have taken a team as far as they can. The current level.of performance is not acceptable and hasnt been for the vast majority of the last 18 league games . There is no indication that this manager will get us out of this slump or he leading a promotion push next season. If you cant see that the team has in general stagnated and gone backwards since lockdown you arent see the games properly.
That acceptance by some that we go down meekly and CW will take us straight back up is astonishing. Our aim was 4th bottom this season.
Easy questions for you.Has CW done good job this season ? ( and yes it is only this season that matters) and Are we playing attaching passing football?

Folk aren't looking at what Norwich are doing this season
Not sure that it is quite the same.
Norwich didn't spend any money last season. In fact, I think they made a profit on transfers.
They were certainly player much better football then than we are now, and scoring goals.
I can imagine going down with the lowest points total ever and, no doubt, one or two other wonderful records to boot might make life a lot more difficult to bounce back from.

Statistically we’re the worst Premier League team ever, and to watch us, we look every inch just that.
We’ve just played Everton as the worst team ever and they were only marginally better than us. They’re chasing the champions league this season.

so with that in mind, how would getting rid of Wilder improve the situation and who is the right man to take us forward.

The manager has his faults, same as most of us do, but he and his team are genuinely top people that just want the best for the club. Look above the manager as always for the problems at this football club.
No, Wilder has had a free reign, this is down to him and him alone

Yes perhaps, but I really can't see a Wilder struggling in the Championship. We'd be up there

All the opponents know they can just wait, bide their time. They know we won't score, so know they just need to be patient to score

What do you mean no one cares?
Do you mean no one cares about United or no one cares about my opinion?
If it's the latter I don't give a flying fuck what the Wilder out brigade think about my opinion, they're all cunts anyway
Cunts 😂 why?

Think not playing Bogle tonight who had earnt a start shows CW is feeling the pressure
He would have given him the start 2 years ago

Shame but results are King

It’s pointless getting rid of Wilder now. Nobody on God’s earth can stop this listing ship from going down. We’ve left it too late. We simply haven’t got the players, the time or the money to rescue this season. I’m sorry to say it, but the journey for this bunch of “journeyman” is over. We need to let Wilder school his young acquisitions away from the glare of the unforgiving Premier League.
If Brewster is one of the acquisitions to school, he's got a job on! Seems Wilder wouldn't know a skillful player if it hit him.

Sorry, are we crossing wires here, I pulled you up for eradicating our best season for decades. You're pissed off like we all are, but you can't take this achievement away, or the brilliant memories that will live a long, long time irrespective of whether we go down with 2 points. I might agree with every single point you made above, though does it really matter?
To answer;
1)no
2)no

This long term vision may have included the possibility of relegation, but not like this.

Wilder managed 9th by fielding virtually the same 11 week in and week out. That was never going to be sustainable without getting injuries or suspensions.

Every season teams need to adapt and evolve. JOC was suffering injury end of last season. We did not adapt and evolve well into this season. Our transfer windows have been appalling signing lots of average players scattergun on low wages instead of signing less players with higher ability on better wages.

The fall from Last season to this season is squarely on Wilders head. Due to poor planning, adapting and evolving.

Adapt or die as Mark Darwin would say.

We have died.

He’s got a job on schooling them in the Premier league. Brewster is proven in the Championship and will be a success down a league.
