Make the change now and we can still make the playoffs.

Sean Dyche or Dave Challinor all day long.

If we can't get him, then id still be happy with Cooper.

Please don't get the Sausage Roll. Really don't see whybhe gets such a good press from the media. He tried whoring himself out in the summer to all and sundry, and there was no takers even when it was obvious that the Weds had changed their stance around his compensation money. There's a reason why there were no takers.

We've got a good squad that should be competing for top 6 at a minimum. And if we make the change now, we can still do that.

0 shots on target in 3 games is abysmal. It's not like you can see green shoots of recovery, it's obvious he has no idea what he's doing.

Make the change now and save the season.
The first 11 is ok, perhaps upper mid table.
The squad is mid table.

We're panicking to get players in now that should've been in a month ago at least.

If we get a new man in now, we might make mid table

If he goes the brain trust that appointments him shouldn’t be making the decision on the replacement.

It looks like the owners have recognised they’d cocked up on the recruitment front and are moving fast to fix it. Time now to realise they’d cocked up on the managerial appointment and take action to fix that as well. Admit what you know and what you don’t know and that it’s a very inexperienced ownership group in football terms and bring in an outside consultant someone who does know the game to help them head up a proper search for a manager and DoF.

These lot might be inexperienced in football but McCabe made some shit choices as well. Wasn't it Dave Bassett who told him in no uncertain terms to get Wilder in?

No idea who recommended wilder but good owners are capable of recognising what they know and are good at and what they don’t know and then hire experts to do the things that they don’t know about. There’s no shame in it.

I think this side/squad is better than that. Think you also have to factor in this division is really poor this year, arguably as bad as it has been for a while

We’re certainly weaker all round and the key players that were exceptional last year just aren’t the same now. We can only judge on what we see now, but Cooper, Burrows, Hamer, Peck and Campbell were all much better and were in form, for them to now be effectively the weak links in the side is worrying. Added to this that Hamer may go by the close of the window, if rumours can be trusted…

The bigger concern though is the panic buying has now strengthened the defence with one player, but we are much weaker from the summer business through the rest of the spine. Tanganga has given us something positive, but he’s one player in a back four which, to be honest looks even more sketchy today.

Peck doesn’t have that defensive partner, we don’t have support for Campbell.

We’ve seemingly brought in flair but with no substance and end product. So far.

Beyond the first 11 we have major concerns. The young Swedish lad may come good, soumares may get game time. Ings may get paired with Campbell. Cannon and one may play in their more natural positions. Barry may hit a barn door with a banjo

I’m extremely cautious but I think we’ve slipped so far now that it might be hard to recover for a new manager not having any additional resources until probably the end of Jan, which seems to be when we do our business at the end of the window

Perhaps it should read "make the change now and we can stay up", because as we are we'll get relegated.
Indeed. We've played 4 middlingish teams so far and not only got zero points but deserved to get zero points.

If we continue with Selles, relegation is highly likely. He's so clearly out of his depth . Appointing him was like a company sacking it's CEO and appointing the tea boy as the new CEO as a brilliant left field move.

I am not in favour of knee jerk sacking of managers and I have been hoping that RS can find some answers. However, I am not seeing any improvement in performances. The team looks disjointed at best and disinterested at worse. They certainly look like a team of individuals who do not hnow or understand the collevtive plan or individual roles. Unforunately, I cannot see RS turning this around and so decisive action is needed sooner rather than later. However, I don't think the board will act soon. They have sanctioned a lot of late window incomings and I fear they will want to see what RS cand do with the squad we have after Monday.'s deadline. We are i a right old mess, for which I blame CEO entirely.

Back in the real world, we need 50 points to stay up.
At the moment, seems very unlikely there are three worse teams than us.

Put a bet on us being relegated then whilst it’s a massive price
Realistically we’ve more chance of top 2 than being relegated.

We comfortably have some of the best players in the Championship and only need a half decent manager, to give us a great chance of the play-offs.

We need a no nonsense Manager who won’t take shit from certain players. A Manager of the players, not the other way around, can you imagine Warnock and Bassett with some of these arseholes? The response would be like R. Lee Ermey the first twenty minutes of Full Metal Jacket.

In some ways I agree it’s poor especially as 3 solid sides have been promoted however they have also been replaced by 2 big spenders in Wrexham and Brum. If you look at the table Ipswich and Southampton haven’t got started yet. I don’t think there will be any 100 point teams however there are a lot of sides you really don’t know who can beat who. When Leeds and Burnley got into their stride last year you knew they would get a result somehow didn’t matter however late that came. I think we have not shown some of these teams the respect they deserve, ‘Boro might not appear great but top of the league, and we are expecting to go there and walk it. I think it’s time we have a bit of realism about us we are profitable and not haemorrhaging money but for what it’s worth is the Premier League all it’s cracked up to be. Seeing the clips of the Chelsea vs Fulham game and the VAR referrals are just constant mockery especially with the on pitch American style announcement. I would much prefer to stabilise the club develop the academy infrastructure and seek Cat A status and do the running repairs needed on the Kop nothing fancy but new toilets and a roof if we can. The major advantage of what we have is we own our ground, I would like us to make use of it and continue to improve the match day experience and generate non match day income. There will be time to get into the playoffs or even autos one year, be nice to have a couple of cup runs too without the constant thought of having to rest players.

Lumped on a couple of weeks ago.
Not sure which players you're referring to but Hamer is now dialling it in and as for the rest can't think of any that are comfortably among the best in the championship.

Don't think this COH management will admit they got it wrong. I get that Wilder was not liked by them. But if you are to replace him, at least employ someone with a top level championship experience, with nous , to get the job done. Another two games could see us 18 points adrift of Boro, and even a top six place beyond us this season.
