Actually I now live about 30 miles outside in a village with no shop, no pub, no church, no public toilets, and NO BEER.If only you lived in a city that was open 24hrs a day.

I have odd neighbours. Which I think is pretty normal here.No hope for you then unless you have really good neighbours. I lived in Germany for a couple of years and all my neighbours had a few cases of Veltins , for emergencies.

I am drinking Köstritzer, I nice German Schwarzbier, which I think comes from the East. I will now have to switch to whisky, I think I have a half bottle left, or grappa, I brought a nice bottle back from Italy last month. That's if I can find them behind the bloody Baileys, Martini, Aperol...![]()

My best neighbour was a good bloke. Tattoos all over, bet me a crate of beer Britain would take the euro, always chatty, always friendly. Alcoholic. Died the other year, was mid-fifties. A bit drastic, I would have let him off the bet.My favourite was always Bitburger.
You must have really odd neighbours though as all mine were very cool and seemed very intent on making sure that I sampled all the beers that Germany have to offer. We have some excellent beers here but Germany is on another level.
Psychic. How the fuck do you know we won?

Didn't want to spook you.How come you didn't answer me before I asked?
Good God Hamburg. The price of a crate of beer out here should ensure you have at least 3 crates as spare. I was in Elmshorn last week by the way and your message about odd neighbours made me chortle.I've drunk all the beer in the house.
I left it to the Mrs to buy the beer.Good God Hamburg. The price of a crate of beer out here should ensure you have at least 3 crates as spare. I was in Elmshorn last week by the way and your message about odd neighbours made me chortle.
