They built the stadium next to the motorway for easy access, then "designed" a car park with the crappest access routes in the entire world. So cars trying to get in and out gridlock the whole area.
One of Reading's problems is that there aren't that many major roads through the centre. It only takes a minor incident or lane closure to gridlock the whole town.
Town planning appears to be an afterthought in this country. We watch towns grow into cities and do nowt, then when they’ve doubled in size we realise the roads aren’t big enough.
 
In many ways it is similar to Brighton except Brighton has the railway line. They are finally building a station on the business park but not exactly next door to the stadium.
