If bringing Wilder back galvanizes this team and if we can get into a run, this is a mediocre league at best and it’s possible we could still get into the playoffs.

I honestly don’t see a standout team this season like Burnley last season.

Upon reflection we could be in a far worse situation if this league had several quality teams capable of winning a lot of games..//

I think this ties in with the comments last season about the football not being exciting ,, unfortunately football is going through a phase of not being exciting,, but you have to play to win ,, if you go all out exciting attack you get picked off ,, people are saying it was a poor league but if so the opportunity for more than 3 clubs to get over 90:points was there but only 3 did , I think Leeds did it by attacking but when Burnley beat us at Turf Moor to actually clinch promotion, if you look at their fans with 10 minutes to play there was no excitement on their faces
, the fact other clubs don't seem to be thrilling at the moment does give me hope we can pull away from relegation zone and mount a challenge , hopefully with a more entertaining style but for the moment and probably for the rest of the season it's the points that are valuable ,UTB COYRAWW,

Both are decent teams who'll be hard to beat. There are about twice as many of these as last season. For the first time in years, it is a difficult league

If you look at what Boro have done, it's similar to what I was saying we should do. Sign solid championship players. Obviously very deliberate by Rob Edwards. It'll ensure they stay in and around the top 6

Leeds and Burnley aren't the comparison. The comparison would be more like Blackburn and Bristol City

Any half decent side who pull themselves together this season have got a great chance. Its a very ordinary league this season with most teams much of a muchness.

Need to see how we shape up under Wilder this month, but to be honest, I haven't quite given up on the thought of a top 2 finish just yet... get a couple of wins on the board and moving up that league and suddenly the picture changes and momentum starts.

If we can hit the ground running we can be in contention for top 2 by Christmas. Bang average league it’s just a shame we had Spanish Adkins in charge for the first 5.
