Lundstram vs Grealish - Video

Blades Analytics posted this on Twitter. Thought it might be worth a thread of its own.

If you were being hyper-critical it could maybe do with slow motion, dramatic lighting, ominous, pounding music, and the pathetic mewling of the entitled but dispossessed, but I suppose this will have to do.

If ever there was a post fishing for likes this is it ;)

Watched this on another thread and, as I put on there, Brylcreem Boy has really perfected his diving. Full extent then tucks in left shoulder to enable a perfect roll completion on landing.

Maximum effect and minimum risk of injury.

I think they must have a specialist coach!

It’s the jeers from the crowd, realising he’d finally been ignored by the ref that made the video.
Just needed Lunny to shout “Ave it” as he tackles him.
Frigging girls blouse though, wouldn’t last 5 mins with Wilder!! How is he not strung up publicly and humiliated?
If he was from shall we say a foreign country he would be ridiculed and called all the names under the sun.

Laughing at Grealish rolling around pretending like it was a bad tackle yet literally no Villa players are even batting an eyelid to his play acting and don't even for a millisecond consider appealing for a foul cus they knew it was a perfect tackle.

Grealish's play acting behaviour really does put a bad name to a decent player

Actually infuriates me that a player with his talent acts the cunt every week.

All part of the game? Bollocks it is.

I'm too young to have seen him live, but when did you see George Best roll around like that? And those tackles were far more industrial than today.

Slide tackles are oh so yesterday. thought you was supposed to stay on your feet.

Fucking funny though!

Well personally I think that you're all being terribly unkind to the lad.

I mean it was perfectly clear that he wasn't very well, poor lad could hardly stand up all through the match.

Have to admit he's wasted in the Championship, his 'game' is perfectly suited to the Premier League.

Yes, its a funny one this.

We all saw what Grealish was about from the off - he probably wears Tom Daley sponsored budgie-smugglers under his shorts.

So - with this knowledge, we know that Grealish made a meal of it, to the extent that actually, there probably was no contact;

hence, I submit that in relishing Lundstram's tackle (which was perfect btw), we are actually relishing Grealish's cheating aswell - but we hate that don't we?

How can we live with that moral paradox?

His game is perfectly suited to a non-contact sport. Maybe tap-dancing or some other shit. The guy is a bastard. How he hasn’t been reprimanded by a panel is beyond me.

I might email the football league again. And while I’m at it, ask them when my D-taxi might turn up

Very true, there was a famous game v Chelsea when Best was through on goal & Ron Harris, of "Chopper" fame, tried to literally hack him down from the back, almost cut him in half but he stayed on his feet to score. Proper footballer & in many ways showed he was harder than Harris by taking everything he threw at him & coming out on top.

I'm not so young. and saw him play a number of times against the Blades, including the time at Old Trafford when he scored against us when we were top of the old First Division. You know the one they keep on bloody showing!

The Chopper Harris tackle followed by the goal against us!

I'll just put this here as well..sits in pretty nicely after Besties clip

Perhaps with a large beer or two and an equally large smile, along with booming renditions of, and in no particular order:

"You should've fucked off to Tottenham"
"Greasy hair... Tiny nob"
"Grealish whats the score"

:)

Watching that Bestie video makes you a bit sad about him, and also makes you wonder what we might have won if only he’d been English.

His balance was unbelievable, as the legs were knocked from under him and he still seemed to float through, by leaning in with his body and then bringing his legs back to catch up.

Players today are so much heavier and more muscular, and so they could never be as fluid and graceful.

Brylcreem Boy ought to be made to watch this before and after every game, alongside his own antics!

Worth the entrance fee alone

The difference between George Best and todays players
Best's only thought was to stay on his feet where he can do the maximum damage. He just wanted the ball, and when he'd got it he wanted to keep it
Todays players first thought is to go down like a sack of spuds to try to win a free kick and get someone booked or sent off, even if this means breaking up a period of play when his own team is on top.

A lot is said about Best's skills, but he was incredibly brave as well, he took some right hammer.
You can only imagine the damage that Best would do to teams nowadays with defenders unable to just chop him down

The only downside would be his lifestyle, you can't get away with that nowadays.

All this taking the piss is setting the scene for Grealish to do us in the return match at Villa.
