Basham was outstanding too.

Both played fantastic but the people that voted, vote Basham because he travels with the ball so they 'see' his contribution more. A solid centre back that just wins every single header, just isn't cool enough

Norwood has 3 performances better than any we've ever seen from Lundstram. He was a steaming pile of poo last night but he's bought a bit of collateral with me.

Lundstram has proven on numerous occasions that he is unable to fill the role asked of him. I do think he could be the best player in a L1 team if you built a team round him but that's not what we need

Blades fans want the TEAM to do well - we just have players that are better than Lundstram for centre midfield. It happens in all teams.

As for MoM - anyone would think it was a politburo deciding the MoM vote - it wasn't it was a democratic vote via social media. Egan did play well though.

Spot on, your observations were very good and probably the reason he got the vote. Egan also good, but as he "holds" the centre position is never going to look as active as Bash or JOC.

Good players are fairly obvious to spot, they might not play well every game, but their good games make up for it.
I suspect Wilder isn't contemplating dropping Norwood for Lunny this Saturday despite his Montyesque passing performance last night. .

Very true - it's a team game but CW has CONSISTENTLY not played Lunny when all CM are fit.

I don’t think there’s any middle ground with some people especially on social media, this forum probably just reflects life buddy. To get your point (or agenda) noticed online, you’ve got to shout the loudest and that’s achieved by an over the top OP and title or extreme expletives and comments. Middle ground and balanced comment might appear later on in the thread but it’s always the ‘Total Gash/Wanker/Garbage/Brilliant/Outstanding!’ posts that get the bigger reaction and response.

Look no further than the two Norwood threads mate. We could all see that he’d had an off-un and was probably a bit knackered and that was the end of it with most, players aren’t machines, but a couple of newbie posters start negative threads about him and suddenly people are wading in for and against. Madness based on everything that we’ve seen before and what we’ve been told by fans of his other clubs, but I’m sure that the two newbies loved the attention.

Unfortunately and imo, the front two didn't offer enough options/outlets, or hardly any, thus forcing Norwood at times to look long to the far flank with these raking long balls. Again unfortunately, they were either poor balls or telegraphed on many occasions. He needed to keep it simple, but found it difficult due to these lack of options

Obviously, overall he was poor last night, but in snatches he did what we all know he can do

Personally, I thought CW made a mistake in playing the two up front. They haven't managed to get on the score sheet once yet this season. Our top scorer sat on the bench..................again

Agree on all points. Top class from Egan. I thought only the back six players (Henderson, Egan, Baldock, O'Connell, Basham, Johnson) and Duffy turned up, although Baldock faded badly near the end. Pederson had Baldock in his back pocket and O'Connell offered little going forward despite this assessment.Fleck didn't look fit and played within himself; Norwood had a shocker and two lamposts would've been more useful than the front two who had a lot of good service first half, yet were always on their heels. Clarke badly needs a goal. He only attacked one cross. When strikers stop attacking things that's the time to get worried.
