Derby County boss Billy Davies is thought to be considering a loan swoop for out-of-favour Sheffield United defender Chris Lucketti.
Davies worked with the 35-year-old centre-back at Preston North End, and is keen to draft in a defender until January.
The Rams are on the verge of loaning teenage defender Lewin Nyatanga to Sunderland, Darren Moore is suspended and Dean Leacock is struggling with concussion.
As such, Davies needs reinforcements and is considering an approach for Lucketti, who has not made a single Premiership appearance this term. Indeed, the vetran has not made a single start in any competition since joining the Blades permanently in May.
