Hahaha, talk about putting down a player trying his best.

But to be honest, if he is not a left back, why does he still play him?

For someone who isn't a left back, Jordan Stewart has played a hell of a lot at left back for all of his clubs. Why Blackwell keeps repeating this "fact" when it is manifestly not true is beyond me.

The reason Stewart is not playing well at left back is not inexperience at that position. It's because he's not a very good player any more.

Thank you. He played all of his Watford days at left back and I don't remember him playing anywhere else for Derby either.

I even checked on FIFA 10 and that has him down as a left back so it seems only KB thinks he is a midfielder!!!

The official site webmaster clearly hasn't read the memo on Stewart. His profile states:

"The 6ft, who is primarily known as a left-back, has chalked up more than 200 league appearances."

Also, when signed, Blackwell said: "Jordan can play in a number of positions down the left and gives us variety". You'd have thought from the interview that we are asking Stewart to perform a role he's never done before. If he can play a number of positions down the left, and one of them isn't left back, just what other roles other than left wing justifies Blackwell's description? Corner flag monitor? Relay man for water bottles/Blackwell's crazy instructions?

It's a close call for me, but I think I'd go with Glover. Blackie would have gone in goal and left Casper to be Bobby Charlton. Another square peg . . .
