Surprised I haven't seen anyone else suggesting this. A few times and particularly at Loftus Road I have been impressed at how dangerous he has looked popping up in space behind the striker and orchestrating attacks. Seems to me he has always been viewed as a deep lying midfielder but he seemed to be given licence to push up a bit last weekend and he looked excellent.

Alongside that I have thought Baxter looks superb in a deeper role alongside Doyle. For me Reedy sat just in front of those two. That's our best midfield. JCR and Murphy on the wings, McNulty up front. Job done.

As for the defence. Howard, Flynn, Kennedy, McEveley (what a beast) and Harris looked great last weekend.

Seeing the title, I thought it was a precautionary thing so no one got caught again like Ched did:eek:

May as well play him as much as we can, there is a 50 / 50 chance he will be sold in the next 12 to 18 months.

I stated recently that Clough should be looking to build the team around Reed who afterall is the most talented player in our current squad!

Seems to be quality...sell him, at all costs ...

I think planning to build a team around one player would be a bad move imo. We aren't in a position to do that in league one. Weir wanted to do that with McDonald but as soon as the money was waved under his nose he was off.

The link up play between Baxter and Reed for McNulty's goal was excellent. Reed, Baxter and a fully fit Wallace (when Doyle's legs go) on their day for me would be the best midfield in this league.

We all wanted this sigiung to work, Wallace, but are we really going to see much of him this season?, halfway through season and he has hardly played. Not disagreeing with your thought process, but just don't see him playing more than two or three sonsecutive games.

Agree, hence the "fully fit" part. With Coutts potentially coming in he can play the games that Wallace misses and vice versa that way we can make the most of having two crocks ;)

Yep, not disagreeing with that approach pal
