• Ship out at least 4 players, ideally more to cut the wage bill, trim our ever bloated squad and allow for those all important players to arrive, namely centre halves.

• Sign at least 2 centre backs, in an ideal world with an additional CM and ST, Billy would be a decent addition for the league we are in, albeit not the perfect one.

• Get those new players mixing with the current squad and forming partnerships before the start of the season.

All within 2 weeks and 3 days. I think the ones called out for panicking a few weeks back are now increasingly becoming a tad more justified to think that way.

I think things could have been SOO much easier had Clough been sacked and Adkins appointed before the released list was decided. Then the board and Adkins could have got rid of a few more players and eliminated the time consuming need to sell them now. That's assuming their contracts allowed for them to be released.

Mind games being played here although it could be true about some not being good enough.how do you get the best out of players ? Lets see what the partnership is like against stronger opposition . The biggest thing missing at CB last season was a continual partnership with stability and most of all confidence.

Clough didn't help , circumstances didn't help and no real ongoing partnership certainly didn't help.

Adkins will sign a number of class , quality players . Its all about player / agent / club , hard nosed , negotiation at the moment , with the outcome being best for SUFC.

Perhaps we know whats required , and so does Adkins a lot better and in more finite detail .

Also every fans as a opinion , nowt to do with being a Bladey Blade , the concerns of last season just do not want to be carried over to this season . and fans have a right to voice that . Thankfully we do not live in a Stasi , KGB , or USA country .

It is very easy to sign a player , it is much harder to sign the right one.

Im sorry Barnyblade but i saw your post as just another of your constant stream of saying the same thing. Since you dropped from a higher intellectual sphere to shine your obvious light and razor sharp wit on us all the quality of the board has surely gone up a notch. Although behind all the snide patronising comments there is just an empty space thats says nothing more than "look at me". Just saying like.

Odd that like Pinchy and no doubt others I saw once more the invitation to moan and panic at the fact NA hasnt met your self imposed quota of players we have to sign. We must all be thick unlike your great self.

You've missed around half their signings there. Not saying they've signed amazing quality, but they've certainly pre-emptively invested their gate receipts on some interesting players. It's all very dodgy what with their 'committee', but still, they're set for an exciting season one way or another.

As to us, I don't think anyone would disagree that we need a handful of players. Don't bloody need a central mid though seeing as we're bloated in that area already.

I'm not panicking mate. I'm expressing my views and concerns, isn't that what these boards are for? I fully appreciate and respect others for their points of view but for example when that point of view is a needless dig at myself whilst one thinks he's arguing with me but in actual fact he's agreeing to my point, yet he feels the needless dig was necessary. I then explained that to him. Now, from that situation arises you with a comment assuming all sorts of things from a self imposed transfer quota to calling others thick, yet you hint at doing that very action yourself by saying "Since you dropped from a higher intellectual sphere", contradictory? Is Pinchy's constant stream of patronisation along with needless remarks at every blade under the sun for being a 'bladey blade' all of a sudden exempt from your accusations of one calling others thick? so the only one I can see "bloated" is Central midfield and 2 of those are injury prone 1 is a youngster, getting rid of 4 players would actually leave us short of cover should we get any injuries.

and if the squad is overbloated.... and you want to ship out 4 players... why then sugges getting 4 more in (including 1 in the most overbloated position?)
