Played two games on FA Cup weekends since with two good results so put pressure on those that didn't play, not playing catch up with postponed games and playing less games so less chance of injuries and suspensions.

Being in the FA Cup is fine when nothing to play for, but very happy to give it a miss this season.

In reality I'm sure we didn't lose on purpose, wilder would never do that, but in my opinion it has worked out in our favour big style.

Not least because Norwich and Reading also got knocked out so we could play the games of course.

Maybe, just maybe, things are in our favour, though I still won't believe it if it does happen until the final Whistle of the final game!

Whichever way you slice it, losing to a non-league side is a complete humiliation. However, whether by hook or by crook it does seem that most of the fringe players involved that day have responded well. Suddenly we have gone from worrying about strength in depth to witnessing seamless performance through fairly significant squad rotation.

An occasional kick in the nuts makes us all a bit stronger, once we have recovered our composure.

I said at the time I didn't mind losing to Barking and it was one of the few times that I didn't lose my shit on here after a defeat.

I'm still haven't quite forgot about drawing to Arsenal Villa though.

I remember it well, as it was one of the few times I've ever bet against United.

I read the pre match comments from Warnock and it was clear as day that whilst we would prefer to win, we were going to rest most of the first team. The opposition were also doing well and they were well up for it, whereas Utd clearly less so. When I saw odds of 8-1 for a Swansea win, I nearly pissed myself with happiness as I filled mi boots and backed Swansea heavily.

It went a long way towards a bonus family holiday that little bet, and as far as I was concerned, Warnock had made it as clear as the snout on his head, that we were going to be well understrength.

Wilder did the same, so there was no shock when i saw the 11 changes v Barnsdale.

Warnock and Utd benefited hugely as we went up to the Premier league that year. Hopefully history repeats itself.

I was at the match.

On the pitch they played like Real Madrid giving us a footballing lesson lesson easily beating us 3-0.
Off the pitch they brought 5000, totally out sung all match, one of the loudest away supports in years.

Warnock tried to wash it off as “it’s the cup, our priority is the PL, so it doesn’t matter”.
However it wasn’t just the result but the manner of the defeat was a total humiliation.
That day you could see league 1 Swansea were destined for greater things, they were fantastic.
