Daft cunt knows fuck all. Budget will be 26-30m before player sales with new SCR rules. No idea how real this rumour is, do know that El Cunt is an insidious little worm who has been caught out lying multiple times. Best ignored

He really is clinging on to that I was partly in the know once persona but you must still listen to me. I think since PA left he has been wrong about most things regarding the club.

How many times did he flounce on social media when called out on his bullshit?

Surely he wouldn't know anything concrete as he's not connected to the club at the moment, it's probably just his opinion based on his own knowledge of football finances.

But the new financial rules are being implemented next season.

The ones where you can spend up to 85% of your revenue on player wages, agent fees and transfers etc, so he might have a point because our revenue will be less next season without the parachute payments.

Selling Hamer and Peck (the most likely scenario) could change what our budget is but we won't know until it happens.
Crikey , 85% limit ?
That's the parachute clubs given a big advantage then.
They've just excluded any non-parachute clubs from promotion.
It's now a permanent yo-yo.
And typically ,
Us Blades have just missed returning to the PL whilst receiving parachutes.
Our timing , as ever , is crap.
Wolves , Burnley & Spurs fighting for 2 autos and the loser wins the POs.
Boring.
The other 21 might as well pack up and go home.
Apart from Wrexham of course.
If they don't slide up this year.

Is that 26-30m based on our projected revenue for 26/27?
And is it the budget for retained player wages or the transfer budget?

Thanks. I guess the thick end of it is wages, then?
Pretty much. Transfer amortization counts too so somewhere between £6-10m of player purchase values - Cannon, Tanganga, Luton 2, Burrows, Cooper, AI signings if not sold will all count

It's all well and good getting a striker that is supposed to be a number 9 that likes to play around the penalty area but knowing the history of our recent lot under Wilder, Bamford will play up front and he will play this guy on the left wing as he is a left footer

If you take it out of the context of us in the Championship, it's just another set of rules designed to benefit the established big PL clubs.

Even though teams competing in Europe still fall under the UEFA 70% rule (like Man City), their revenue will still be significantly higher than other clubs who are allowed to spend up to 85% (like Palace or Forest).

Going back as far as I can remember, I cannot recall a time where 3 parachute teams went up in the same season, as there's always at least 1 non-parachute team each season.

Coventry, Sunderland, Ipswich, Luton, Forest, Brentford, Leeds (19/20), Blades (18/19), Cardiff and Huddersfield.

Give it 2 years with these rules, and I reckon we'll get a season where 3 parachute teams are all promoted.
