Email I've just sent to this crap programme:

"Well it's almost 9.00 am on Monday morning, and I've sat through several of your 'broadcasts'.

Yes, we've had the usual filler of travellers and their tales of derring-do re. the Iceland quake. But only because it's from LEEDS/Bradford Airport.
This evening, we'll have any trivial story if it's about WEST Yorkshire. As Gration is a rugby fan, we'll have the usual rubbish about some poorly-attended rugby game - as long as it's in the LEEDS area. This will be rounded off by the lamentably inaccurate weather forecasts from The Mayor of Wetwang.

So far, not a single mention of the Sheffield derby played yesterday, and attended by a crowd as big as Tottenham v. Chelsea on Saturday. Not a single mention.

Video? Forget it, even though SSN showed the goals within minutes of them going in.

Still, I suppose we'll have 'Man bites dog in Heckmondwike' on tonights bulletin.

Oh, and don't bother with a standard response along the lines of 'We endeavour to cover stories of interest in all areas...' blah, blah. Your programme is biased, lazy 'journalism'."

Try Calendar. Even in the depths of Lincolnshire we get coverage of all the Blades matches.

... And the usual "police are questioning a man from Wetherby in relation to....", oh, and latest search for a Lodensian that can't resist throwing themselves in the river Aire after a night on the piss!

>Man bites dog in Heckmondwike
naah..thats too far from leeds.. parrot escapes on the harrogate road?

Friday night's calendar bulletin mentioned Huddersfield's win over Millwall, "WHICH WAS GREAT NEWS FOR LEEDS UNITED...."
They just couldn't resist.

They showed the goals at about 10 past 6 on Sunday in their usual Sunday 10 minute show (it was about 5 minutes later than advertised).

Just got an auto-reply from Look Leeds:

"Thank you for writing to BBC Look North. We appreciate your comments and your stories. Because we receive so many emails and texts, we can't respond to each one individually. However, we will read your email and get back to you if we can run your story. We'll also try to include your comments on our programme. If you have a complaint, we will get back to you within 10 days."

Just in time for Yorkshire cricket from Headingley, no doubt.
