It's a valid point. We are at the stage where embarassing defeats don't register any more. A collective ennui has descended on the club and fans. Coventry the other night lost at home to Colchester in front of just 10k. They had as much right to expect a promotion fight as us but yet another shit manager (Mowbray) has managed to bring his own brand of ineptitude to another club. Meanwhile, Valencia have finally found that prancing around at Salford FC does not translate to being a professional manager, and have sacked the useless cunt Neville.

Which brings us to Adkins. Here's a suggestion. Sack the tosser immediately as he's an embarassment. If he's on £500k a year, that's £10k a week we'd save because it's just getting worse. Replacement? Well, in time for the Walsall game, McCabe could do worse than pick somebody out of the crowd. Could their tactics and team selection be any worse? If we're chasing the game with six minutes left and this unknown fan brought on Sammon and Woolford, can you imagine the howls of derision? That's exactly what Adkins did last night.

I really don't know what McCabe is waiting for. These last few games will decide if many people renew their season tickets. With Adkins still in place? Not a fucking chance.

Have to agree. I'm not one for sacking managers, but some of his recent selections, tactics and subs give me the impression he's run out of ideas and just trying anything out of sheer desperation.

He's made too many errors in such a short space of time. We ve tried about 5 different formations and with a few games to go, Adkins still doesn't know which is the best for us. There is no style of play and no settled team. He's had the funds to bring in players and spent it on big wages.

This will be our worse finish during our time in League 1. Wilson and Clough performed better and got the sack.

Most of us decided the team were too poor to challenge back in Autumn. The board then decided to give up on the season in January and retrench for future seasons. By which time the poisonous culture amongst the playing staff had taken full hold.

In that context no manager would look good. I agree his signings have been poor and he's been flailing around for a workable XI. But the very core of his squad was rotten. It still is. Only 5-7 permanent signings can put that right.

We can hire another manager and he might see Coutts in pre-season and conclude we can build a team around him. He might see Flynn and bank on him for 40 games. I really think those at the club now know more about the squad than anyone, and it's slightly less of a gamble to stick not twist.

Agreed it's not helpful. I personally think it's this sort of talk which makes me realise that the club are so far removed from the actual situation we find ourselves in

I'm sure the payments that McCabe and Prince make on a yearly basis to keep this club going will help to refocus the mind a little

Spot on PB, they would be more credible talking about playing in the 4th division as we currently sit 57th from the top and 35th from the bottom of the league structure out of 92 clubs.

Until they get out of this deluded state of mind we are stuck here for another 5 years
