Just watching MOTD and the Callum Wilson decision, we really need to get on this shit and drop the moral stance. There is no morality in modern football, and as much as I hate the fuckery we're way too honest when faking a machete attack could secure us points.

The Harry Cunt decision. Salah! Son is always at it.

A lot of blades get riled up at the thought of not being gritty northern hard nuts who can shrug it off, but if you can't beat them then you've got to join them, and they're winning in case we haven't noticed

We need as much possession and ball as possible.. You don't think every other club does it for a laugh..

The screaming I hear though.. Fucking come on..

Even that penalty that Paul pogba gave away, the Arsenal player went down like he’d been shot by The Terminator. It really is cringeworthy, don’t seem to see anybody booked for diving these days. Very rarely anyway.

I can see why Chris isn't a fan, I'm not myself, and I guess most aren't, but it's an integral part of the game now if you want to put points on the table. Gotta be in thhe game. Sander in particular needs to stop being so honest and learn how to fall like an axed tree.

What a sad comment that we have got to a place where cheating is an "integral" part of the game.

Salah on Saturday, cheat. Wilson cheat. Kane every fucking week, cheat. The screaming is frankly embarrassing.

It needs sorting out. I actually enjoyed MOTD on Sat because they did point it out with the Salah one. Sadly nothing will change. The Klinsman used to be the exception, it now appears to be the rule.

Another reason why I am getting more and more disillusioned with this game.

This.
Sad to say I'm starting to fall out with football, a huge part of my life.
Summat not reyt saying this when we are finally up there in the "Promised Land"

Basham tried it on Saturday, looked like an absolute bellend. If he’d have stayed on his feet he would have been clean into the box in a good position.
You mean the one on the right hand side where he lost his footing? Thought he was clipped mi sen. Slightest clip when running can do that. He did seem to stagger it as though he was in two minds though.

Not only me then. Only football emotion being tickled these days is anger and the fares we used to call football. Like Muttley says just as we get to the promised land, but I think the cheating, diving, favourable refereeing etc is amplified in the PL. just imagine what the feckin super league will be like.

Won as many pens as anyone this year I bet! I’ve seen a few of ours throw themselves to the floor this past few games and they’re not very good at it.

It’s got worse as more overseas coaches and players have come into the PL.

I’ve noticed that Wolves have become increasingly divey and shrieky since they became mini Portugal.

I would like us to be honest even if it means we don’t get more penalties and cards against other sides. Would be embarrassed to support some of the worst offenders (most of the top PL sides).

The beautiful game is cynical enough nowadays without us joining in the cheating.

Yes that one, he wasn't clipped, not even close. It was an attempt to throw himself to the ground and then he realised how stupid he looked and he tried to get up and looked even more stupid because he couldn't.

Strangely this thread has made me smile and want to punch a hole in the wall in equal measures. I’m firmly in the old school category, as espoused by CWAK and many on here. I want us to have a team that we admire, one who others are envious of. Sadly I don’t think this is compatible with being successful in the PL. The level of scrutiny now, especially with VAR, should mean we can root out the screaming cheats. Will it happen, of course not. Sadly the commentators and pundits are complicit with their talk of “contact” and “he had every right to go down”. I absolutely hate it!!!!

In the roll call of cheating clubs and players, i’d like to add Arsenal, Arteta (as one eyed as Wenger was) and Lacazette (the biggest screamer in an all girls primary school team). As we saw in the FA Cup game he’s perfected the engineered contact, simultaneous dive and scream and the dead body impression. With the talk of Concord Park on another thread, I’d pay good money to see Lacazette try his antics up there, it’d be a toss up whether the opposition or his own team mates would ”do” him first!

I actually went to watch Penistone Church a couple of weeks ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it, proper football, fully committed and no cheats. A breath of fresh air!

I thought he slipped (just have another look, couldn't find it) and tried to correct himself.

One of the worst is Ryan Fraser of Newcastle ( ex Bournemouth ), had my eye on the little twat for a while now, cheating git, de-valuing the game.

And a nasty little arsehole into the bargain . He could easily have broken Norwood’s leg at Bournemouth last year with the vicious late tackle he made .

Regrettably , he’s also a decent footballer who gets in behind defenders - just the type we’ve been lacking for some time .

As much as I love Basham I've seen enough of his attempts at diving to believe that this was another. If you look he throws himself to the ground and then swiftly looks sheepish and gets back up. He has form.

I think Basham was expecting the contact so that affected his balance. But admittedly it didn't look great. I wouldn't have it quite up there with blatant cheating though.

Expecting contact and falling over is also known as “diving”. It’s just that we’re not very good at it so it looks like comedy rather than cheating (it is cheating though, even when Basham does it).

Yeah, it's a bit of a grey grey area for me. When moving at the pace of professional footballers, it doesn't take very much to affect balance and anticipating contact can impact that. They know how they 'want' to fall, sometimes to avoid injury (probably not in this case tbf), like not having a standing leg planted when anticipating a challenge. Dunno, I can see legitimate arguments in support of Basham and those calling it out.

I don’t think your argument would stand up in court, Basham probably wouldn’t either 😂

Obsorn is worse than Bash. Tried it twice on saturday and looked comically bad. When refs don't give those, you know it's a ridiclous attempt.

It,s a case of can,t beat um join um. if it saves the Blades from going down.i all for it.
You get nowt for being speeky clean.
