So we're top end of the Championship with a reasonable shout of Auto's or Play Offs (shudder).

Therefore loans to permanent this month would suggest Wilder thinks the player in question would form part of our Premiership squad or he'd just get them in for six months to help complete the job, wouldn't he?

Will be very interesting to see if this is how the Madine deal is structured because he's not been good enough to get any real playing time at Cardiff in spite of Zahore being injured. Would suggest he's not up to scratch but W&K may able to work their magic on him I guess.

Interesting to see if who the third loanee is and if he's also loan to permanent.

It's not a loan to permanent is it?

Loan with a view to buy if we want him like Johnson was thought to be or loan to permanent with terms agreed like Norwood, Evans and Leonard.

The whole "loan to buy" thing (eg Norwood) was just to get round the earlier transfer deadline. The transfer window was closed but the loan window wasn't, so we arranged a permanent transfer for Norwood that would complete in January but he would join us on loan in the interim.

The transfer window is currently open, so anyone we take on loan will be just on loan. Otherwise we'd just buy them outright. We might agree the option to buy the player in the summer if we choose, but I would guess we won't go any further than that seeing as we won't know what division we'll be in in six months and it wouldn't make sense to commit resources either way.

Indeed, though on the loans-we-assumed-weren’t-permanent front, lest we forget...
