QOTS did not play any of their loan players for 3 games. Not sure why but all played last Saturday.
Think Semple will be on the move to another loan in January.

Had great reports.

Ty Smith does what he does. Score goals. Another who will move up in January.

Really surprised with Gilmour comments. Thought he was flying.

The QOTS fans were extremely confused by his admission of late. Maybe something has already happened and Semple is going elsewhere which is why he isn't playing.

Gilmour has been in and out of the Tranmere team but has picked up an injury so has missed a few games.

You may be correct Roy.

I do think many teams use their younger loan players sparingly as to drop a contracted player when the loan player is due to leave could leave the manager with an unhappy player in his squad for the rest of the season.

That said, if SUFC had been told Semple would play 25 games during his loan they would have been well happy.

Semple played the full 90 on Saturday. Maybe he’s had a slight knock or strain? Or just needed a rest? It’s quite a jump from u23s to the Scottish Championship.

Yes, some seem to have been signed a squad fillers (particularly Graham) which isn’t much good for them. With SG, I’d rather see him drop to the National League and get games than stay at Oldham as cover.

Is it possible that given Kean Bryan’s lack of fitness and Wright’s injuries this season that Semple is being brought back to cover JOC in the 2nd half and get him training with the first team?

I think for the rest we should leave them where they are – I can only see squad injuries (or in Evans’s case, unsuccessful transfer business) altering that.

Just one. Been a terrible few seasons for him.

Which is a shame, as although things didn't work out at the Lane, we all saw glimpses of what a decent footballer he was, especially when he first arrived. I very much doubt any of the loan players have a big future with us other than Smith who appears to be hitting the back of the net regularly and may benefit from another loan further up the footballing ladder. I watched Heneghan in the cup match against Solihull and can't say as he really impressed me, but is obviously well liked at Blackpool. Thomas for me has been the biggest disappointment, scoring a great goal in the cup against Ipswich, then quickly disappearing off the scene. His loan spells as Shrewsbury and Notts County seem to have been a disaster. Would love a few of them to prove me wrong Roy.

Disappointing reports

My friend is gutted if Smith is returning to the Lane now. She sends a few comments about him every week. She also said that the red card for Norrington-Davis spoiled a really good match for him.

Smith is the one with the most chance for me
But I wish he was ready for our first team now
But then I don't really know how you tell when they are

They're ready for our first team after a PL club has put an offer in for them. It doesn't matter if they are any good, that's the criteria.
