Unless Brooks arrives before the 16th with a big shit-eating grin on his face and a Sheffield United scarf held high - the decision to let Freeman go out on loan just seems stranger and stranger.

Eesh. At a time when we're lacking creativity in midfield and Fleck & Osborn are out of form... you have to question the wisdom of letting Luke Freeman go out on loan.

It's not even with benefit of hindsight that this is said either, I think the majority of us thought that was a strange move. Do we have a recall clause?

Great to hear the reports of RND doing so well. Seems to have excelled now at League 1 and is doing so again in the Championship.

Should Enda's form continue on the current trajectory then maybe he comes back and gets a shot at it next year with us - whatever division we're in. Or maybe we bring him back this season with an eye on moving Enda to LCB to cover JOC?

It's a shame he didn't really take his chance with us in pre-season. But ultimately, I think a year with Luton will do him a lot of good.

Given the LCB challenges at the mo, and relating back to the suggestion in a recent Shield piece that our coaching staff have eyed RND up for potentially eventually developing into that role, I wonder if the JOC injury might open up a possibility there for him next season. Or, potentially, January if we have a recall option...

Great to hear about RND progressing, I always felt he would be comfortable at that level having watched him during pre season. You could tell he was ready for that step up from Leage One and hopefully he'll keep on developing.

I'm not going to get my knickers in a twist about Freeman, at least not until the window has closed. It's all far too easy to say we should've kept him in hindsight but I'd never been overly impressed when he's turned out for us. Doing it for us and doing it for Forest are two totally different things.

Osborn out of form ? Very harsh that Capt, been one of our better players in this poor run of form.

He certainly seems to fit the criterion used by some on here for wanting to sign new players , which is that of ......... ‘If he’s doing OK for another team , he must be better than anyone we’ve got’.

Its not really a surprise him and Berge for me were the stand out players of pre-season. Have a good pre-season get noticed and gave CWAK something to think about.

Then again he doesnt seem to be playing now as well as he did in those couple of pre-season matches. Calibre of opposition maybe ?
