He was clearly surplus to requirements here. Can't understand why Wilder was so upset about it. Him doing well is good news for all parties and hopefully there will be a reasonable fee for him in January or next summer.
Wilder makes a big thing about character. Slimane refusing to play against Barnsley would have gone against everything he stands for. I agree that it's a bit of an overreaction to a bit-part player pulling out of a game we weren't really interested in winning but that's Wilder.
Where did you find that out?

Norwich Pink Un

That is funnily enough roughly what we would have paid for Slimane had all clauses been met so it might be wires crossed. I would assume there's a significant sell-on clause as well.

People don't like footballers exercising their rights to be employed by who they like

Yep. Wilder left this club himself a couple of times I think, as did other born and bred Blades like Bradshaw, Ward, Sharp and Walker. Slimane, by all accounts, was looking at playing another season with a few minutes here and there, and when being given the chance to join a club that wanted to make him a more important first team member, I understand he wanted to go.

They are right about Slimane he was one the players who stood out when I was watching the Leeds match looks a different player for Norwich.

I completely agree with you. I would assume that we negotiated a decent loan fee, the £1.4m to make it permanent with variables and a sell on clause. This is a deal which will hopefully work for all parties.

They're playing him in a central role, one which we didn't try him in. I presume that's because Heckingbottom and Wilder had doubts over his stamina and mobility.
