Seeing murmurings on twitter about us signing him from a few people.

Contract is up in 6 months, Barnsley had him last year played quite a big part in them getting promoted. Definitely a winger, quick and tricky. Chapman II basically.

Played for both the pigs and dingles so must like the area!

Think this is pretty realistic, would prefer him to O'Shea given the choice. Plenty of potential there.

Would expect us to be looking at him because he ticks all the boxes. Versatile, technically good, fairly quick, resale value.

He actually kept Chapman out of the team at Barnsley so he'd seem like an ideal replacement.

He's 24 now so not as young as you might assume but he'd be good value and can still improve. Would much rather have him than O'Shea.

WIth him and Carruthers signing we'd be covering every part of the midfield brilliantly. Add in Riley who's also versatile and that would be very intelligent management.

Would be a good signing, in line with one of the areas CW said he's looking to recruit to (although more or a winger than wingback). He would also fit the profile of player CW is targeting i.e. ambitious, hungry players able to develop further and, dare I say it, able to play at a higher level.

On the downside and as eluded to above, given him proven abiliy to perform well at the top of L1, I would expect him to also have suitors in the Champ who would be able to offer more, in the short term at least.

Dingles best player last season each time I saw them imo, would be a great addition. Can see him ending up in champ though.

Wilder said last night that we've bid for a player who could play in the Championship, could it be Isgrove?

It could be another frustrating case of potentially signing a good player but not doing so due to being unable to guarantee them a regular starting place.

Slightly off subject but is this the kid from Southampton?

I recall Adkins indulging himself on twitter about how he gave him his début at Southampton whilst we were still suffering Hammond & Wolford?

I have every reason to move on, but Adkins somehow still makes my piss itch.

Adkins would have done better had he gone and signed him after Murphy went.

He didn't sign for Barnsley til October, so we could have got him on loan that summer. That said he had just returned from a loan spell the sty and maybe thought he might get a deal there.

Who else has this meant we've missed out on?

Just thought I'd stick these tweets up for debate.

Could be utter bollox, or could be interesting

Lloyd Isgrove is an absolutely cracking free transfer! We're in the market for another wide player, this lad could flourish under Wilder!

He's just liked my post so I did wonder! I think he's a great age and a very talented lad,
hopefullyCW and Co are interested.

So he's liked STRAPPY's Tweet and probably told some Blades in Marbella that he'd love to sign for us.

He is a right footed winger, which we haven't got, and we were linked with him in January so it could be a possibility.

He's 24 and has only played about 45 proffesional games. (Not suggesting he would be a bad signing)

Never know why these youngsters don't demand to get out on loan for game time.

The likes of Harry Maguire had that many appearances at 18.

Always strikes me that those who develop top careers have experience games from a young age rather than sitting on a bench and playing the odd cup match. Jags, walker, baines all started out in the lower leagues but developed further than highly rated player in the top 4 academies.

Did well on loan for the Barnsley chops when on loan. Can see them going for him again.

Maybe we could loan him on a loan and see how the loan spell goes while we have him on loan then? ;)

What a strange career! The fact Soton have kept him until 24 I think speaks volumes for his perceived ability and "potential" shame it would seem they have finally accepted he won't cut it

Lloyd Isgrove

More like Lloyd Isn'tgrove

Because he isn't going to sign for us.

HA!

A no from me on this one
Was hoping to hear we were in for Mendez Laing but maybe an issue with attitude and work rate ??

Fourth question...Isn't that a second and third question?...

Isn't that answering a question with a question?

As long as this guy is ace I don't care. But the rumour seems circumstantial. I prefer actuals
