CW will be keeping an eye Morrison no where near starting yet in the league
Sunderland game he will start.

I think a lot will depend on how the players not on International duty have performed during training.

Clarke could easily be on the bench 😀 !

If we're going down the route of players playing against former clubs; is there an obvious strike partnership?

I think we will see Mousett up top for this one, and I'd like to see him with Billy!

But probably not the physicality, which has been important.

I think we're well covered elsewhere on the physicality side but we're still a bit lacking overall on the quality side, so Morrison gets an aye from me.

Hasnt done anything at this level to say hes quality.

Unless there are injuries to force his hand, I reckon Wilder will continue with the tried and tested as the new players continue to get up to speed.
Besic is there for the games against the big boys IMHO.

Morrison wasn’t much cop in an advanced role (Duffy role) in the cup, but looked the part when deeper running the show so I don’t see him pushing his way in just yet. Wilder needs to learn exactly how he’s going to use him and which games that will be best. Of course that could be down to those who played with him also not being up to speed.

Mousset- at least he’s been on the pitch now. No chance he will start, even if The two lads miss out following Ireland duty. Sharp will get the nod as starter with McB.
The rest of the new lads are there for injury only IMHO.

Be interesting to see if Fleck comes back in, or whether he takes it very slowly knowing we have other options these days. I reckon last season Fleck would have been back and running at 80% while he got right...as he has done previously.

My guess.

Rest McG, Robinson.

Mousset

If Mcgoldrick and Robinson are definitely out then it will be Sharp and Mcburnie with the rest unchanged.

I think we might see Mousset-Sharp if the Irish lads really are injured. The pace of Mousset plus Billy's ability in the 6 yard box could be a deadly thing. Saying that I could also see McB partnering Mousset... McB's hold up and physical presence to play in Mousset could also be fruitful... although I see this as an option for latter half of games

However... I do think one of the Irish lads will play

McBurnie and Sharp to start with Mousset coming on. Probably keep the rest the same unless fleck is ready.

I don't get the current fuss with Ravel. He doesn't look fit & doesn't even look like a professional footballer when we're out of possession. He can't defend properly & positionally he's all over the place. It's quite obvious he's not played regular professional football at an elite level.

I was excited about him, but I haven't been impressed with the bits I've seen & his social media murmurings still point to an immaturity that doesn't suggest he's ready to take the next step.

I'm not ruling out that he may come good, he's certainly very talented, but for me it still looks unlikely. For now, he can't be anything more than an option off the bench if we need a goal & nothing else seems to be working. Seems Wilder agrees.

I think we should keep the faith with McBurnie on Saturday, he needs the club's support right now (what a fuck up that was). Pair him with Robinson, who can't be dropped after his second half at Chelsea. Mousset to come on with Sharp if we need something. Let McGoldrick rest his shoulder.

Same team that drew at Chelsea to go again... & hopefully someone puts Che in row Z, the little prick.

McBurnie nailed on to start, probably with Robinson. So probably unchanged.

Redmond not fit for Southampton. Bertrand only 'in contention'.

That's helpful.

Wish Adams had already scored his first PL goal though......
