Remember seeing him play against us for Ipswich as a youngster (3-3 draw, Chris Morgan injury-time equaliser, barely deserved) & was very impressed with him - have sort of kept tabs on him on & off ever since. Now on loan at Florist from Basket-case Bolton till January. But only filling out the numbers, being on the bench week-to-week. Must be a bit disillusioned with footballing life right now as things stand.

Big, strong, powerful & - with apologies to Chris Basham, who was wonderfully aggressive today - much better with the ball at his feet than Chris Basham. And, at 27, ought to be at the peak of his powers.

Worth a sneaky January offer of a few shillings to help Bolton out with their mountain of debt?

P.S. Just happen to have found this too: supposedly "Nigel Adkins is a long-time admirer of the midfielder" (if you believe The Sun that is)...

He'd have to have it written into his contract that he changes his name by deed poll. Imagine the field day in S6 if we signed a Trotter :)

They did have a player called Jimmy Trotter who played for them between 1923 and 1930

Ive always been a big fan of this lad but he seems to havd a problem.
He has all the attributes to be a top player but doesnt apply himself enough

Is midfield our priority? Hammond is coming good, Coutts is as well, Basham is patchy but we've got Flo attracting Adkin's admiration. Doubt if we can lure Morsey so we might stick rather than twist.

Think JTW is all about a clear out and summer is about a cull and rebuild. But then again I've been saying that for 5 years and worse still believing it
