A goal-scoring midfielder with a streak of "genius" about him, bit of a hard man, and a seemingly larger-than-life character, plying his trade last season for Notts County in Division Four.

But, an appalling disciplinary record. Gets released by Notts at the end of his contract a week or two back after his latest manager's patience runs out with him.

Not really been many, if any, midfielders mentioned as potential targets yet. But definitely a vital area we need to rebuild in.

Could CW see Noble as a project, maybe?

Not a player I know anything about Alf, but I am sure CW is the sort of manager you don't mess around with, or at least seems that way so far, a hard nut midfielder who can score, sounds like someone we should at least take a look at.
