There are so many unrealistic suggestions and rumours on here. PL midfield player probably on about 30k a week.....yes I'm sure he can't wait to drop into League One.

We do need him though. We also need Paul Pogba.

Unless we are bought out by Bill Gates, we aren't going to be able to attract premiership players who were transferred for over £3m not so long ago.

I think people need to be a little more realistic. It's not a case of sufc not being able to pay millions or offer good wage 99% of the time. The fact is the type of players we want and need won't drop to this league so get of the clubs back

No - but surely the issue for loans (in and out) is the percentage of wages we have to pay - eg I doubt Oldham are picking up all of Higdon's wages. Add to this "is it likely to lead to a permanent deal in or out or be more than an interim move". This is an area in which Brannigan, Turnbull & Co. need to show some nouse and in which SUFC and Adkins need to cultivate and exploit relationships with clubs at a higher level. The one area where Weir was good was the respect he was held in at PL level as a development coach. I always got the impression with Clough that he was not held in high esteem as someone who would bring loan players along in the way the PL clubs would want. But its just an impression and I could be completely wrong.

Bloody good job anall. The two teams we've played out that list only managed to put 3 past us a piece at ours. God knows how many they'd have got with a few Prem players in their side
