Jagielka was commentating on a match for local radio recently and said he was still struggling for fitness.

He also said he has the best technical abilty out of the whole squad.

There's your reason why he wont play.

yeah, we'd have no vested interest in playing players with the greatest ability would we

That'll be the reason he isn't playing I suppose.

You're a very pessimistic person aren't you Sharpy?

Nooo... we ought to play player's who aren't fit just because they're good!

Their talent will shine through their inability to run!

Tiz a strange situation not dis-similar to when Hao Hai Dong (sp!) arrived a few years back, the difference is that we have seen him play and know that he can offer us something.

I hope to see him in the squad soon.

Just a little bit of sympathy for Sharpy here (but only a little bit!!). I think he might be trying to make the point that by and large Warnock has a slight distrust of the artisan. The journeyman, hardworker who makes few mistakes but may be limited in creativity and flair is a preference

Or perhaps doesn't like fielding injured players, who despite their "artisan" status, he himself signed :)

If he was fit he may have got a chance......untill he actually plays a couple of games without being injured etc... he won't be in.

Anyone who thinks Li Tie was signed solely for football reasons, rather than just a squint of an eye towards business opportunities in China, is being a bit naive and I wouldn't be surprised if Warnock was told to sign him. Totally agree on the injuries front, though, but I'd wager he doesn't play much even when fit!

Well it obviously does have that factor towards it, but it wouldn't do the business interests any good letting him rot outta action. He's far from the Chinese legend that Mr Dong was. I hope he doesn't play much when fit, because if thats the case our midfield will be playing well :)

"Li Tie has been very unlucky. He took a kick on his thigh and it's black from his hip down to above his knee. It's one of the worst haematomas that physio, Dennis Pettitt has ever seen. It's another blow for Li Tie because he's now weeks away from being in contention."

That's a massive blow for Li Tie, it's a shame he's not been anywhere near the first team thanks to his injuries, he's a quality player who I'm looking forward to seeing start a game some day.
