  • When we're on our game, we can give anyone in the division a game. We've proven it against the best in the league.
  • When settled the defence is solid and the wingbacks are expansive.
  • When we have a full strength midfield, we will create chances against anyone. They have been so incredibly pivotal to everything we've done and life without the three of them together was always going to take time to adjust to. Wilder has built a sensational engine room with a limited budget.
  • Our front two are amongst the top scorers in the division, when firing.
  • Chris Wilder will never be anything but ruthlessly honest, with us, with the squad, with the owners, with himself. I fully trust him with my football club in his hands, as someone else just said.
This was a big season, a long anticipated return to this division and it was always going to be tough. The interesting bit is that our blip is not 'cos of how we play, its because of injuries and suspensions. We've not been found out, we just lack depth and now Wilder and the squad need backing.

The football today was utterly dire and we need to get through these next few weeks to January, take stock, and go again.

UTB!

I hope you are right. But were is the evidence for this assertion?

We beat Leeds, the Pigs, Brentford, Wolves and were flying high and felt hard done to to not have beaten Norwich. That was only several weeks and a few injuries/suspensions ago. We don't become a bad side over night.

Then you look at the table and who's above us...

Wolves - we beat
Cardiff - outclassed us in our cautious start before we got going
Bristol - don't get me started again, we should have been them last week
Derby - we battered
Villa - up next, let's see how we do.

The sad thing is, we lack depth. Our starting XI at full strength would give any one of those a game now...
